the servicenlet me to wait for the long time. the bad feeling

I brought two friends who were visiting Melbourne there for dinner. The staffs were very professional, friendly and attentive. We love the Foagura Isiyaki Bibinba, Wagyu Eye Roll Steak and Creamy Crispy Oyster. We found the Kyo Yasai Fu Warm Vegetables a bit sweet for us but I guess it might be nice to Japanese who love Kyoto style broth. The dinner is definitely value for the money we paid.

Visited the said restaurant a couple of times but this time had the worst customer service. Frowning waiter who seem to have troubles allocating our table despite finding my name on his reservation list. Seated upstairs where waiters were found happily chatting loudly in their own language (not Japanese or English). Followed by waiter saying “you can cook your wagyu yourself” as waiter simply left the A5 on the table. Not the usual practice of our previous visits when the staff do ask if we needed someone to cook for us. P.S. Restaurant was not busy at 5.30pm so it’s simply lack of customer service rather than having a busy moment. Will hesitate whether to visit this branch again.

The food is quite enjoyable but the service, restaurant cleanliness and environment is not up to standard. The waiter who serves us just recommended us and expect us to have the Japanese wagyu and all the expensive items in the menu and didn’t even bother to recommend anything else or the local wagyu. Dining experience felt very rush. The place is stuffy and the toilet area is very very dirty. I saw shoes lying around near the corridor and bags of grocery can be seen near the toilet. My second time here and probably my last. First time visit wasn’t that bad.

Simply the best yakiniku i've ever eaten in my life. As for one of my dining mates, who travels frequently to Japan and is a person who, in my opinion really knows his food, his comment was that this was the BEST that he's ever had outside of Japan itself. Which i think is high praise indeed. Kudos to the owners of this establishment.

The staff were untrained and didn't know what they were doing. We went inside at arrival time and were told to wait outside (cold and rainy) while they set up. Then another staff told us actually it was all ready so we had to get back in again. -- No communication between management and staff! It was over staffed. There were at least 4-5 staff around our table at the beginning--so we couldn't sit down properly. It was too dark inside for my mum in law to actually see the food. Tatami was no good for old people and it was not communicated to us when I made the booking. They had no idea what customer want! 3 staff were wandering around our table doing nothing but I had to actually get out of my way and wave at them to get their attention -- I didn't know where were they looking at... Food was quality but service experience was so bad that it actually out weighed the good quality of food. I think the management should pay more to get well trained and experienced staff for what the customer is paying rather than underpaid international students!!

although the environment was noisy,the service was good and wagyu was yummy and tasty.It is worthy of trying

it was a great night, Food was pretty nice. The only things is that don’t make booking on weekend. Too busy very limited time for a dinner.

Staff, service and ambience fantastic. All 8 dishes beautifully presented and delicious bar 1 . The bbq beef ribs were tough and had to be chewed as one piece We couldn’t just bite into it . Will definitely return 😃

Comfortable environment, very efficient staff and service, food was delicious and fresh.

Food was great however, I have to chase for our sake as they forgot about it. The waiter did not apologise or doing anything about it.

Reserved seats 2 days ago for BBQ menu but only arrange first floor seat with limited menu with no reason, limited experience and limited service.

Great food with a good selection, the whole family enjoyed

Very delicious wagyu (esp the oyster blade), however with the 90min seating time, it feels really rushed. We ordered 8 items and were trying to scoff down the items. Didn’t help either with no explanation on how we should cook/cut the steaks.
