Excellent restaurant. This is not some fashionable food palace, it's old style Italian and does it well. The food was great, service was friendly and attentive, the wine list was good. We had a very nice night out.

Visited ALFREDO Italian Restaurant with my family of 6 adults and 4 children (3,3,2,1 year olds) and had a fantastic experience celebrating my two three year old grand daughters birthdays. The food, service and ambiance where excellent and everyone had a great night.

Wow, the pheasant ravioli was flavorful & decadent. I also very much enjoyed the beef carpacchio & tomato bruschetta (eaten together the flavor was even better!), as well as tiramisu. The staff members were super attentive & service was top notch. It's obvious the owner takes great pride in making sure guests leave with a smile!

Alfredo Authentic Italian Restaurant was fantastic - the food amazing - mouth watering delicious! Our server was attentive but not in our face. The seating is quite close, but I wasn't bothered at all by the conversations from the tables around us. The piano playing was lovely, although maybe? a little loud. An all-round wonderful experience. Would definitely come back again :-)

Another great dining experience. The food, Fusili Crab, was outstanding. The dessert, Tiramisu, was however disappointing, as for some reason we were told that the chef had changed the recipe. Now it lacks enough liqueur. Very bland. We do love this restaurant having been many times and the music supplied by pianist, Nataliya, on Friday and Saturday nights adds to the atmosphere..

Cannot find a better authentic Italian restaurant in Sydney CBD.

It was late at night, around 8:30 PM, so I understand the staff may have been quite tired. The waiters were trying their best to provide good service, and I appreciate their efforts. However, we didn’t feel welcome when we arrived—the man who greeted us (and later processed our payment at the counter) came across as unwelcoming. Overall, the food was good, but the wine was served warm and was of poor quality. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel comfortable enough to return, and I wouldn’t feel confident recommending the place to others.

Overall the food and the service were good ... I went in with really high expectations, and the food wasn't as robust and flavorful as I expected.

Food was great, however the service was not that engaging. On arrival they doubted that we actually had a booking which made us feel less welcomed. Did enjoy the pianist selections. I was a regular at Alfredo’s over 30 years ago with their opera nights and this time felt a little deflated after this experience.

No smile from the old male waiter from second we walked in, also rubbed his lower body on guests when there was ample room. He never said ‘ pardon’ or ‘excuse me’, just shoved the lower half of his body between 2 women. Disgusting. The menu is written incorrectly for a few dishes- ‘hazelnut cream’ is not whole hazelnuts tossed into cream. The food is just basic, there no effort or flair to it. And the pheasant was closer to pate. There were 2 chefs eating with us last night, and each were disappointed in the meals and the service from this terrible old waiter. After spending nearly $1000 for a special Anniversary dinner

Food was great, atmosphere very good, wait staff were excellent, location is perfect.

Made reservations for 4 adults using their website with no problems. We were seated promptly and given menus to look at and ordered drinks. Service between courses was a little slow but it didn’t bother us at all as the ambiance was quite relaxing and staff very friendly. There was live piano music played while dining. The noise level was a little loud when restaurant was filled to capacity but did not interfere with out table conversations. Their signature eggplant dinner was excellent and their profiteroles dessert was outstanding. Portion sizes were large so my only complaint was that we were unable to box up our leftovers as we were staying in hotel and flying out the next morning. Definitely would recommend this family restaurant!

The food & service were very good! The pianist playing during the night was wonderful & added to the enjoyment of the evening. Highly recommend this restaurant & will definitely visit again.

Authentic beautiful food , fantastic service and great vibe. Only down side is it’s not very intimate as you are seated next to others as tables are touching each other

We came back after 3 years (we live in Melbourne) and it was as amazing as we remembered. Service was excellent, the food was excellent, the atmosphere is like being in a living room, cosy and relaxed, background music by a talented pianist. It was fabulous!! Thank you very much!
