Bai Yok Modern Thai Cuisine

Once again we enjoyed a beautiful meal at the Bai Yok. We have been dining there for over 10 years, and it remains our favourite Thai restaurant in Sydney!

This restaurant never disappoints, always great food and sensational warm service. Choice of seating indoors or outdoors which is nice. Parking is also very easy.

Experienced waiters who are always gracious. Carefully prepared delicious food. The specials are always worth trying as the chef has obviously put careful thought into offering a new and exciting experience.

We enjoyed our food, but when the bill came you charged an extra $8 for one extra prawn on the entree, which had 3 prawns. We asked for the extra one as we were sharing the entree. Not impressed and it left us with a good feeling. A small charge would have been OK, but $8!

Excellent Thai food produced with obviously fresh ingredients and attractive presentation. Unobtrusive But good service made a memorable evening. Highly recommended to lovers of Thai food.

We have been to Bai Yok before & really enjoyed the food. Disappointing on this occasion. Did not think the food was as good as before & also it was extremely noisy. Service is always good.

Another outstanding meal. 8 of us enjoyed the delicious banana blossom salad, duck roti, prawns and scallops being the highlights. The service is pleasant and the atmosphere congenial.

Fabulous - food great- Michael very welcoming- buzzy and lots of life Its always busy so you must be sure and book!!! I love the outside tables especially at this time of year. Bonus is that you can BYO wine!!

Fantastic flavoursome food, great service for our group of 6. Could not fault it. We will be back! Love the interior decor inside the restaurant.

We try about 4 entrees, they were good but too similar. The mains are more interesting in taste. The food is a little gentrified for Australian taste. It lacks the complex taste spicy, salt, and sweet, and sour balance. It's good but not great Thai food.

This restaurant should be mentioned in the Good Food Guide. It's fantastic and the owner Michael is such a good and friendly host. Best Thai on the North Shore

If you want Thai food out of the norm Bai Yok is the restaurant for you. This restaurant serves Thai food in a refined manner and the price is still very reasonable. Every dish we had was yummy and the turmeric John Dory was my fav. The restaurant’s interior is very classy too. Highly recommended!!

Food was excellent. Good portion.customer service top. Ridiculously noisy at one table but staff was helpful in getting the noise down. Party of 8 had a wonderful evening.

Love this place, best Thai food. Fresh food, tasty prawns and Beef was so tender it falls apart. Service is great, plenty of staff so no long waits for ordering food or drinks. My only wish is for a bigger beer variety, especially regional Thai beer.

The restaurant has an overall great atmosphere,is clean and nicely decorated.The friendly service,excellent staff are a stand out.The food is perfectly cooked and very authentic thai taste. We left nothing on our plates.They even serve brown rice as an alternative and its perfectly cooked.

The Crackling Fish was excellent and high light of the night. The scollop entree was a bit of disappointment. Overall it was a great cosy restaurant.

The service was very friendly and the restaurant ambience lovely. Unfortunately the food came out very slowly. My husband had finished his main course before any of the rest of us were served our food, and our rice came out 20 minutes before our mains, so we had eaten it before our food arrived! Not all menu items were available.

Warm ambience excellent service delicious innovately presented food. Parking is convenient and easy access is available. A great restaurant for an intimate dinner or a party affair.

We have been going to Bai Yok since 1988 when they opened. The food is always amazing and my favourite restaurant. Gang dang going - red curry prawns is my fav dish.

Always a pleasure eating at Bai Yok. The food is beautifully presented and the staff efficient yet friendly. It is worth considering the specials also - the combination of fresh herbs and first rate produce makes for a very satisfying meal.

Bai Yok is a wonderful restaurant! Great atmosphere, service and really excellent food. Innovative dishes, BYO and (reasonably priced) licensed also. We always try at least one of the specials each visit, something new that never disappoints. A great place to meet with friends, conversation is easy. We love it.

Great food and service, always cheerful and attentive - a fabulous place to take friends and family. The specials change regularly and add variety to the already extensive menu.

This is a really great restaurant. Food and service are excellent. The only distraction is noise - like many other restaurants it can become very noisy. It appears they have tried to attempt to fit ceilings to assist in diminishing it but they are only partially successful. If its a pleasant night the outside tables are better.

First and definitely not the last visit to Bai Yok. Fantastic food, service & ambiance - couldn't have asked for anything more! Look forward to coming back very soon.

Six of us dined there last Saturday evening. The service was great, with even the water bottle being refilled without begging. All the dishes were well presented, and excellent in flavour. Biggest surprise was the curry puffs, which I ordered reluctantly, but hey were quite different, light and very tasty

We often go this restaurant. You cannot fault the quality and presentation of the food and the wait staff are always helpful, polite and attentive.

The food, ambience and the service were excellent. This is a great destination BYO wine restaurant in Castlecrag, recommend to you all. The prices of dishes were very reasonable and quantity sizes! We will be back 😊
