The city's best tacos! Super fast and friendly service and always a good time. We keep coming back because it's so good. Highly recommended :D

Really delicious food for a high value for money price. $3 taco tuesday was a hit with my friends. We'll definitely go back there again!

Contrabando, on a $3 taco and $10 margarita Tuesday night, is fabulous value. The fish taco, and the beef, are oustanding in taste and texture. The margaritas slip down rather too easily. They're very accommodating. We always start with a group of 12, because we never know how many (sigh), and it's never been a problem to revise down the numbers. The staff are fabulous (they're run off their feet) so they can be forgiven a small oversight from time to time - rare. We love it so much we're thinking of making a standing booking once a month.

Great food, and great taco prices on Tuesday! Although slightly noisy during the lunch time rush. I would definitely go again in the near future.

Food was amazing as usual, service could have been a bit better but in their defense it was a lunch crowd and really bad weather. Otherwise pretty good.

Food is great but the service is slow and unfriendly. We have been here several times and everytime is the same, but we keep coming back for the food.

Got three tacos, fish, pulled pork and korean fried chicken. Fish tacos were delicious. Pulled pork was a little too sweet. Good location near circular quay. Good atmosphere. Good value.

The best tacos in town! If you're unsure what to get I highly recommend the fish and beef tacos. Food also comes out really quick and waitresses were able to separate out the onions for me when ordering guacamole.

Delicious tacos! Our group tried all the different flavors and even one that is not the menu. My favorite one though has to be the beef cheek taco!

It was really hot and stuffy, in the restaurant. We were seated in the middle and the staff were very slow in getting to us, on a night that they admitted they weren't that busy.

The Food here is always exceptional with speedy delivery. Some of the wait staff aren't overly friendly (ie, don't smile or engage you) but on the whole the dining experience is wonderful.

It was really great. The fish tacos are very delicious and the price cant be beat (on tuesdays, though still good other days). The set menu is also quite good, especially the corn.

Amazing food and atmosphere! The chipotle and fish tacos were a highlight. The place was super busy, so sometimes it was hard to get the staff members attention, but I guess that's understandable.

This was my first time at Contrabando after hearing my friends rave about it and was not disappointed. The fish tacos were amazing, and still cannot believe it is cheaper than a dish of sushi at sushi train. Really fast service.

Good food as always. Great buzz on a Tuesday for Taco Tuesdays. Get very busy. They have a good selection of tacos but the fish are my favourite. Will definitely be back again.

It was ok - the tacos all kind of tasted the same and some of our food actually didn't come out. We had to chase it.

The food and drinks were amazing! The service was below average (sorry). Really hard to track staff down to order more food and drinks, and the staff seemed disinterested. Would come back because food was so good.

I love the fact that there are no big signposts announcing the restaurant, it almost feels like you are a part of a secret underground society. Wonderful food, awesome ambiance!

Tacos are always great - on Fridays 4 for $20 are a great option for a group lunch! Service is always quick. Drinks are a bit pricey!

Great food, great service and awesome margaritas! Would recommend the restaurant for groups too as the sharing menus are perfect. It is a bit hard to spot from the street as not very well sign posted so make sure you check google maps.

Overall very positive. Pretty clean table and very beautiful environment. Very good services from the staff. The most important, the rolls tastes supper good. I will recommend.

Best Taco Tuesday in Sydney! Service is generally good for what is a pretty busy night. Margaritas a little on the sweet side - less lime syrup please :)

I had the fish, prawn and pulled pork taco today. Really enjoyed the fish and prawn but the pulled pork taco was way too saucey.

The tacos are delicious!! You just have to be lucky with the staff I guess. Most of them are pretty cranky and kind of treat you rudely. Had service with a smile here once and was suddenly very impressed, because I've gotten so used to the cold shoulder treatment and awkward way of getting served here. The restaurant itself is just a non-inviting basement with very loud music. Go without expectations and for the amazing tacos only! On Tuesdays they're only 3 dollars each :)

We had a great time, went with work colleagues. Food came out in a timely fashion - good portion sizes, good price, and the staff were very attentive.

Tasty food, efficient service and trendy decor. Our favourite dishes were the corn and the chicken wings, though all the selections were great. Would definitely recommend, just a shame its not open weekends otherwise would come more often.

Had Mexicali group dining set menu out of all the fried Monteray Jack Sticks stood out , the sauces were smokey and flavoursome,Chargrilled Corn were juicy and tasty, crispy fish taco were yum. Great atmosphere, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Made the team event a great night.

Service slow, not all waiters do the same job. Some can only do food orders and it seems too hard to pass on a drinks order so you have to wait for someone else to come by the table. Food is tasty though.

Although the service was a bit pushy at first and the ambiance of the table left a lot to be desired, the food and cocktails were great. I'd suggest asking for a table in the more dimly lit section.

Food came out quick, was excellent and tasty as always! Friendly staff however very slow when I came to ordering and receiving drinks! With a group of 14 and charging 10% service charge, you would think they would attend to our table with more urgency... Overall a great night staff just need to pick up their act

Absolutely delicious tacos. But we sat for 1..5 hours on a Friday night and only had a waitress come to us 3 times, even though we were supposed to be doing' all-you-can-eat' tacos that were supposed to be regularly ordered by us. That was disappointing.

Ordinary. Our order came out (4 times) and it was wrong each time. Not great for a quick taco lunch. Sweet potato fries were soggy and heavy. Way too much onion and what tasted like pre-made sauces from a bottle.

Contrabando is always a favourite! Great food - good Friday deal of 4 tacos for $20 (everyone at our table agreed fish was the best!)

Contrabando delivered another fabulous experience. The taco's were as good as always. I will be back for more in the not too distant future. We were very well looked after by the team.

Great food - we did the express lunch, nice but not a healthy option, a once a week splurge. I should have chosen myself and selected a few healthy options
