Great wait staff and great food and just great over all

This restuarant is an institution in Sydney and to see that the level of service, atmosphere and food presentation has deteroriated to the level that we experienced last night was very very disappointing. The staff to their credit tried to rectify the situation by providing complimentary dessert and liquor. To be honest I will not be returning in the immediate future and cannot recommend the resturant to my work colleagues or friends.

My waiter- I think his name was Phillip (he has a beard). Was fantastic and made my young daughter very happy

JUst so pleased Diethnes is still there! Keep expecting to find a Thai Nail salon . Great night, such a calm , old-fashioned atmosphere. Food is simple and wholesome- don't expect fancy! But just love the place, so comforting and reliable.

Great food at a great price. Friendly quirky staff. Can be a little loud if a lot of people are there. I liked the older Greek feel decor. I would definitely go back.

dinner with old friends, good food and wine - very much enjoyed and good value for money - what's not to like?

This was an educational visit for six students who are studying classical Greek in high school. None of them is of European background. They loved the food and the Greek atmosphere and finished it all up. We will be coming again!

The entire experience was brilliant from walking through the door and down the stairs to walking back up an hour and half later...10 out of ten from my wife and I.

Everything was perfect. The food was absolutely amazing. The most tender grilled octopus! We had to get to a show and the waiter was so accommodating to make sure the food was served promptly. Will be back.
