Bringing Greek dishes and seafood-based Mediterranean cuisine to Sydney, Enigma at The Piazza’s menu is full of sun kissed delicacies. Conveniently located inside the Castle Towers shopping centre of Castle Hills, this fantastic Greek restaurant is an ideal choice for a post-shopping Mediterranean feast. Indulge in Engima’s set banquets (available for a minimum of four people) or sample their ever-changing specials. Here is food that won’t fail to excite.
On the jam-packed lunch and dinner menus you’ll find a strong showing from traditional Greek ingredients, as well as some regarded more modern. How about flame-grilled arni souvlaki, a classic Greek dish consisting of lamb souvlaki skewers served alongside pita bread, tzatziki and Greek salad, or some chargrilled octopus marinated and tossed in lemon oil. Enigma is a popular choice for not just locals of Castle Hill, but foodies all over Sydney, too. We recommend making a reservation in advance to avoid disappointment!
Always excellent food, nice cocktails and great friendly service! The lamb dishes, especially, are very tasty and extremely generous. Definitely one of our favourite restaurants.
We felt very welcome upon arrival. FOOD was wonderful as usual. We left with the knowledge that we would definitely return Really enjoyed seafood hotspot
If asked by friends I would have no hesitation in giving the enigma restaurant at the Towers entrance in Castle Hill my highest recommendation. The staff are welcoming and friendly especially that of the senior male waiter whose pleasant banter and friendliness is constant and sincere. The meals I have enjoyed there were of the highest quality with generous amounts and, I believe, so too have been those of my friends and family. The furnishings and appurtenances are comfortable and the wine list and surrounds are of high standard. Will Parker.
Great service, great main course, bread a bit ho hum. We will be back. Couldn't fit in a desert unfortunately. We had the slow cooked lab shoulder for two, which was a surprise when it came out but apart from the bone it all went.
It was my third visit to Enigma, I took a few friends to give the chance to sample the modern Greek cuisine. The Food was excellent, the service was very good as Mario did a great job in helping us. Very disappointed in our attempt to try the OUZO for the first time instead of the wine, there was six of us at $10 a pop, we received about 20-30ml in our glasses barely enough for a sip or two. While the food is nice, the prices are very expensive in comparison to our other restaurants in the area, the Ouzo experience was not a good one. We all felt it was a rip off, for around $60 we could have bought a nice bottle of wine or a few beers. The management need to be more in tune with their offering if they want their customers to keep coming back to Enigma.
A better than average suburban eatery with attentive rather than fussy service. A good selection of traditional Greek dishes and some Greek wines alongside more mainstream offerings. The soft-shell crab and salt & pepper calamari were fresh, simply presented and just the right amount for entrees. The Moussaka is truly excellent, with a precisely engineered balance of meat, eggplant and bechamel sauce and a light sprinkle of parmesan on top. Not sure why it is served with a slice of toasted sourdough. The rib eye fillet of steak was tender, juicy and perfectly matched with dutch carrots and excellent mash on a light jus. The desserts are fairly standard fare: the fig and date pudding was disappointing - all cake with barely a hint of fig or date, although the sauce has just the right amount of sweetness when too often sauces for this dish are far too sweet. There is a good selection of cocktails and mocktails and excellent coffee. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience. Recommended for couples or families.
I have been to Enigma many times and never been disappointed. Excellent service always. I went with friends and we had the special three courses and glass of wine and it was all excellent. The cocktail of the day was also consumed which was most enjoyable.
Went out for dinner with friends and had a great time. This was my first time at a restaurant in Castle Hill and really like to vibrant Piazza. The restaurant is nice but could be a little bit 'warmer' for my taste. Service was very friendly and quick. Food was very tasty! We started with the garlic breads, all had a main, and finished with two desserts. We were all super satisfied and enjoyed every dish. Only thing about my main (Swordfish) was that it could use a sauce as it was a little bit dry. All in all, great night at a great place!
Great food at Enigma as usual. Set Mother's Day menu selection was fantastic. Have been to Enigma many times and never disappointed will be back again soon
Second time me and my girlfriend have been in a matter of a few weeks, this time we brought more company! Both times we have been over the moon with the service, food and atmosphere! Well done Enigma! 👍🏼
Pleasant enough surrounds and decor, full of light and nice music at the correct level in the background. Good but not exceptional service, the entree of grilled octopus, ($22) was 5 small to medium size tentacles, a bit dry, again good but ordinary and not enough. The inclusive salad and condiments were surprisingly fresh tasting and colourful. The Moussaka was like a potato pie: hardly a slice of eggplant in it and not of ample portion, it reminded me of the shepherds pies sold at bakeries. Dry too, with little bechamel sauce but plenty of grated cheese drowning any other taste but the potato, @$35. Nice enough soft cocktails but too expensive @13 each.
Our second visit to Enigma. Comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Excellent service. Food was delicious. My vegetables were a bit too raw for my taste but that did not spoil the fact that the lamb shoulder and the potatoes were perfect. The desserts were absolutely lovely.
From the other reviews I expected it to be a little pricey... But we tend to share meals, so found it ok. Service was great! Food was delicious. We shared the meze platter for entre, the lamb casserole was tender and the pork delicious. Only regret I couldn't try the dessert I was so full!! It is a little noisy when full... But that appears to be typical of a lot of restaurants these days.
Overall a great experience. We choose the set menu and there was too much food. I'd rather have had more of the slow cooked lamb at the expense of one of the other dishes. The lamb was so succulent and tender. Loved the haloumi too. Service was pretty good but they should keep an eye on your water glasses and re fill without us asking. Wine was lovely but it wasn't very chilled.
Entrees good (haloumi -though basically unadorned and fairly ordinary-, prawns, fritters); mains: steak very good, chicken breast good ( stuffed chicken breast with mashed potato and garnish), chicken souvlaki ordinary (said to be very basic, not very tasty, served on pita with lots of salad.) Pleasant, friendly service but slow (2 hours for 2 courses plus herb & garlic pita to start and coffee after); fairly pricey for the quality. Pleasant décor.
An excellent dining experience! Food was great and the staff extremely friendly. We will definitely return. The meals were a very generous serve with reasonable pricing. Would recommend Enigma.
Food quality was fantastic and a very extensive menu. Service was first class. Enigma has a nice casual feel but delivers well beyond. Will definitely be back.
Good food and excellent service. The last time I had moussaka was in Greece but the one at Enigma was better. The lamb shoulder also looked delicious.
We had a great experience. From start to finish staff were attentive. Service was quick . Staff knew and could explain meals. Food was to die for and we were a party of four and everyone's meal was superb. Would def go again. Quite price but well worth the e perience .
The restaurant is excellent: delicious food, nice environment, and wonderful service... We had a great time there and would definitely have plan to visit Enigma again.
I've eaten at Enigma a few times now and always leave full and happy:) It is a beautiful place to dine and the food is delicious!
As always Enigma provided a great dining experience. We had a three course meal and the food is always of a consistently high standard and the service is outstanding. Highly recommended.
Lovely people, amazing food. There was an issue with ordering drinks. We had to order our first round of drinks about 3 times because the waitress kept missing some of us. There were 7 of us in total & we were all chatting so I do understand it may have been confusing for her! Other than that the experience was lovely!
Great atmosphere but the service was average. We ordered drinks and the waiter forgot about it so we have to re-order and wait again for a few minutes and have to ask for water twice as well. The portion size were great and the lamb was delicious and highly recommended. The only let down was the dessert which I was looking forward to, a semolina milk pudding that needed more sweetness added to it and was a let down in the end as I couldn't finish it. Overall, the entire experience was OK and we might come back for the lamb.
Fabulous! Great food and great staff... Thoroughly enjoyed our time at Enigma for my daughters 18th birthday and more importantly will definitely be going again.
Enigma is a very nice restaurant, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is fun, We would highly recommend Engima to everyone.
We celebrated three birthdays at Enigma last Tuesday. We've returned to this restaurant again and again because the service and the food are always exceptional.
Dined late December 2016. Prompt service, fresh food. We had the 3 course lunch special and never felt pushed to be out in the two hours. Wait staff were attentive without being overbearing. Best Restaurants Australia voucher used without any trouble. Will go again - in fact, have already booked!
A very enjoyable experience. The staff were attentive and efficient and the meals were sensationally good. I'd definitely recommend Enigma to my family and friends.
The restaurant was great! I have coeliac disease and the restaurant (wait staff through to chef) were very knowledgeable about gluten free food including cross contamination etc. The wait staff were extremely attentive (without being pushy or overbearing), the food was amazing and the value even better!
Best greek food i ever had! Grilled vegetables moussaka - i am thinking to become vegetarian after that. Now planning our next visit to enigma. Happy service, family feel. Great food. Mouthwatering desserts. Afogato! I am salivating again... you guys rock!!! See you soon again!
We went to Enigma for an anniversary lunch and had a lovely time. The food and wine were both good and the service was non-intrusive but effective.
The staff were great, the only real complaint was that the steak was more rare than medium, it was red as you would see in a butcher's shop on the inside, just a pity, as both my partner and myself both had to leave half the steak that wasn't cooked through, otherwise a nice location and atmosphere, and rest of the food was nice. Thank you. Robert
It was our first time ar Enigma. The restaurant was newly renovated and the staff were excellent. The food was awesome. We will be back again.
We went Enigma for lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food was delicious with lots of choices. The service was lovely We will go back
Great service and fantastic menu. A busy night but we were still looked after. The cocktails were delicious and when we wanted to try a Greek wine ere provided with a taste first to make sure we liked it which was excellent, last but not least the food was very good - only problem we ate too much to fit in dessert!
My best experience of modern Greek food! Staff were polite and the food was not over powering like other places. Sovlaki was grilled superbly and you can taste all the effort that was put in to the dishes.
We really enjoyed it. The food was excellent and the waiter was very helpful and friendly. It was a lovely atmosphere for my friend and I to catch up in. Would definitely would recommend it to my friends.
A fantastic Greek restaurant with the classics and some options you don't get at other Greek restaurants. Service was perfect in terms of timing, efficiency and interaction. High quality food and appropriate serving sizes. Will definitely return.
Service was excellent. Food delicious. Will be back again. We had the set menu. Food sizes were adequate. Would still reccommend to order bread on the side for the delicious sauces. The mussels definitely needed bread.
The service and food was brilliant. However we had an argument at the end because my guest end up paying when I made the booking ;) In al seriousness a wondeful experience and would definatley return
Amazing food - the food was so delicious and full of flavour there was nothing to fault any of the dishes! Excellent Service- Very professional Food came out promptly and decent sized servings Would definitely recommend!
Very friendly and prompt staff even when very busy. Made a special request to deliver a gift to our table between Entree and Main and done without fuss. Very impressed with the food too. Delicious.
8 main meals ordered - half of salmon was raw and not eaten, bbq prawn & swordfish skewer didn't seem fresh & person was sick all next day, lamb was good, steak & mushroom was good. The reason we came to dinner was because 2 of us enjoyed a lunch the week before & we were a bit disappointed in the mail meals on the night. The service was good.
Helpful staff, delicious food, modern and fresh environment. Expensive for a family to dine there but very nice for a special event. Accommodated well our large family with 2 babies and a toddler.
Great service and helpful staff including relocating us to a new table. Food is beautiful, from the lovely warm pita bread to the gorgeous chocolate dessert. Great cocktails and all round quality restaurant!
Wonderful food, great wine selection, plenty of shared options as well. Portion size was perfect. The service was exceptional and we were not rushed through our meal or rushed to order which was lovely. We will definitely be back
Service fantastic Staff friendly Food delicious Overall great experience Even my 19 and 21 year old enjoyed it Serving sizes were good you weren't looking for more Can't tell you about the deserts as we couldn't fit it in
Great food with a large choice to suit most tastes on the menu. The standard of quality is maintained on each visit and the service attentive. It's one of our favourite restaurants!
Even though the decoration isn't the most warming one the atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming. We experienced great food, very friendly, professional service and all in all a fantastic night out
