Gepetto's at Hahndorf

When we arrived we were greeted and shown to our table but that was it! Apparently this place has table service..... Between the lack of service, getting our order wrong and watching staff behind the counter stuffing their face with food while food was being prepared, I can honestly say this place was a true disappointment. I had wanted to eat here for so long however I can honestly say I won't waste my time coming back nor will I be recommending this place to any of my travel friends. For the prices they charge for food I expected better. When table service is offered i also expect that. I shouldn't have had to chase people to serve us - waiting 25minutes after being seated (this place was not busy either) to order a drink, then again asking for someone to take our dinner order, that they got wrong, nor should I have had to ask for my bill more than once!

Welcoming and helpful staff. A good range of options on menu. Drinks list amazing for serious drinkers. Desserts could have been brought out at same time. Overall a seamless experience.

Food was simply fabulous, yes quite expensive but if this restaurant was in Melbourne or Sydney you would pay twice as much and still think it was worth every cent.

The seafood platter was quite good. The selection was impressive. The quality was fair to good. The cost for the entire meal was a little bit over the top. If you read the other reviews on Google, you would see that it is a very expensive restaurant to go there considering the quality is average.

Have always dine here each time we stay at Hanhdorf for few days. Great service by friendly staff. Food was awesome and worth the price. My kids and I can't get enough with the entree garlic pizza. Great ambience as well and away from the center of the busy main street of Hahndorf.

We were really looked after while dining at the outside area. Pizza was amazing. Coffee was great too.The staff were so wonderful. They took time to check on us. We never went wrong when we decided out of whim to drop by and eat at Gepetto's before heading home. We will definitely come back and dine again with our family and friends.

We recently dined at the restaurant to celebrate my 70th birthday. We had never been to the restaurant before and did not know what to expect. In a nutshell it was simply amazing. We could not fault it. The staff and management went out of their way to ensure all our needs were totally catered for. The meal was exceptional, and the staff assisted us greatly in our selections with the meal and drinks. Heaps to choose from. Even the atmosphere was superb. I will never forget my 70th. Special thanks to Shpend, Edi and Mo and the rest of the staff Thanks also to the pianist/singer Sandi. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be going back. Arch and Ros.

We ordered pizza, pasta and risotto, everything was cooked perfectly. Service also very efficient, professional and fast. Saturday night they also have live music, but not loud. The atmosphere was very nice which makes the entire experience great.
