Amazing food, great service and beautiful venue. Had a great time, thankyou!

Have visited this lovely restaurant in the past before renovations. We remembered it to be a nice intimate dining experience with flavoursome food and wine. As we were a couple, this time we were seated amongst all couples on a long table unable to have intimate conversations due to the live music and couples surrounding us. We ordered ate and left just to get some peace and quiet, food was ok this time but pricey (like most things these days). If we had known upon booking it was shared seating we probably wouldn't have gone to be honest. We both love live music but the echo and noise level was to the point we would of had to shout across the table so reverted to lip reading. The couples on either side if us also stated they were going to leave so they could actually talk at home.

Service was great the food was absolutely amazing and I'm italian so I'm very picky that was easy top 3 on my italian restaurants list.. great job

The service from I believe the owner was appalling. Treat everyone with respect. It doesn't matter of the race. My thoughts yesterday was because I was Asian. You serve other people who arrive after us. How would you feel if the table was reversed. I work in health service we treat people the same.

Food was good, food took a bit too long to come

Gepetto's is like a little Italian oasis in the middle of Hahndorf Village, where the food and wine list is always exceptional paired with great atmosphere and superb service. Our favourite restaurant in Adelaide Hills.

The only problem we had was smoke from the wood fired pizza oven. We were well away from it and you could see the smoke in the downlights. When we got home our clothes were smelling of wood smoke.

Amazing food and service. Our group shared the 1metre seafood platter last night. Every item was delicious and cooked perfectly, and the service was outstanding.

Great food, great service great atmosphere. The cost of food and beverages was over the top. $16 for a glass of wine, at the bottom end of the prices, is questionable. Meals were expensive too

I thought, while the food was reasonably good, it was far too expensive for what we got. The wine list is over-the-top for the casual nature of the restaurant and the fact that sittings are confined to two hours. The calamari I had was verging on being overcooked - a tad too chewy: the sauce was delicate and lovely. One of my companions had the polenta and mushroom and she has pleased with the flavour. My other companion had the ravioli and, while she enjoyed it, it was, in her view, nothing that justified the price tag. We had a bottle of prosecco, which was pleasant, but, again, over-priced. When it was clear we were not going to order mains, the staff lost interest in us and it took a while to attract the attention of someone to fetch our bill. To summarise - you had reasonable middle-of-the-road food but it is grossly overpriced. Judging by the number of people there, you do very well, but I can get far better quality and value in European themed restaurants around Adelaide and the Hills. Regrettably, I won't be back.

We were greeted at the door by the very friendly musician, who also proved to be very talented. Then it got even better from there. Excellent, authentic Italian food, cooked to perfection and verified by the two Italians in our group. Great selection of wines from various countries, including of course Australia. Friendly staff with a great sense of humour. We have absolutely no ideas on how the total experience could be improved upon. The best, thank you.

I am from Whyalla and Gepettos are my favourite place to eat, we come every time we visit my Daughters who live in the hills. We encourage all our friends from Whyalla to try Gepettos when they go Adelaide. Thanks for having us.

I think I just found my new favourite restaurant! Came here for my birthday and The food was amazing! The service was fabulous . The cocktails were delightful, I had the tiramisu martini, lemoncello mojito and the strawberry mojito absolutely delightful! I can’t fault Anything! Highly recommend!

Great restaurant with excellent food. I was a little worried when we arrived to find a musician playing as this is often disturbing if you want to chat but the music was very good and got everyone in the mood. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you love Italian food.

A fabulous place to dine, great atmosphere, super friendly staff- a little slow offering desserts but they were busy. (And a birthday serve of tiramisu had been provided with “happy birthday “ music) For the birthday girl Highly recommend

What a hidden gem! Amazing food and easy, professional service. We sat by the fireplace. So good.

meals were tasty Unfortunately the main meal is really an Entree size very over priced and not value for money (gnocchi and Risotto) Gnocchi Ragu had two pieces of meat in it and was basically all tomato sauce we had been there in the past and the meals were twice the size ragu had ample amount of meat so if your not Hungary and need a light snack for dinner this is the place for you

We were so looking forward to our meal together at Geppetto’s Hahndorf as we had booked our table 2 weeks in advance. When we arrived at the restaurant we were told that the table was not ready for us as and asked to sit outside and wait until it became available. We thought about walking away but decided to wait. We were given a menu while waiting for our table outside the restaurant. Not a great start to the night but eventually we were told to come in and we were seated at the table. All ok after that and we enjoyed our meal. We asked for coffees but they did not arrive so we paid the bill and left. Not sure if we will return.
