The service was quite slow to begin with, than it came out average, had to repeat orders so many times so not good enough

Service was pretty ordinary. It took forever for the drinks to come out, then they forgot two of our dishes & then we ordered two green tea ice creams only to be told a few minutes later that they only had one left. So we had one dessert between four people...and only two spoons! Then to finish the evening, they had added four extra desserts on to our bill which we didn’t have! Think the staff need a LOT more training & food quantities ordered in should be increased given our reservation was for 7pm.

Wedding Anniversary Dinner@ Hayashi, definitely worth a SECOND VISIT.. Service was present + attentive when asked, Servers were all Nice + polite, very happy to help.. Food... Wow..yeh definitely worth smashing again... smelted delicious & was damn delicious, lucky we had paced ourselves.. took LOTS OF FOTOS BIG MASSSIVE thankyou to Jason + his team of Servers, for making our Anniversary feed a memorable one.., we had a great time.. HBH

Bought a groupon deal and the price was really reasonable. The overall ambience and service were ok too just that we didn't quite like the food.

I was unable to attend as I was unwell, but my friends all enjoyed it immensely.

Service could have been better and the inside decor is old and in need of a touch up. Food however was terrific.

Food was great but when dishes come out when ready, it does mean that sometimes people at your table may still be waiting whilst others have almost finished. Drink service was a bit hit and miss and we were surprised that on a Saturday evening with a good crowd in, we were rushed for desserts as kitchen was finishing service, around 9pm? Staff are friendly and helpful though.

We ordered the Tuna Sashimi and were told they were out of the usual Tuna and the only Tuna available was Blue Fin but there was a surcharge on that because it was $60 per kg. There was no mention anywhere on the menu or website that a surcharge would be applicable, really did not feel very happy about the experience. They can keep the Blue Fin for someone more deserving!

Fantastic food, beautifully-presented and delicious, with great service and a comfortable, relaxed setting. The assorted sashimi, vegetable tempura, kingfish teriyaki and agadashi tofu are highlights.

The meal was delicious and well-priced. We didn't have to wait long for our food and drinks.

It has been a little while since our last visit to Hayashi, and since then the decor has been upgraded, menu simplified but the high quality of the food and service has not! Gary and his staff to a personal interest in our dining experience, which will stay in our memories for a long time. And we will be back again soon!

Made the mistake of telling them we were going to share so they did not bring all the dishes to the table at the same time. Our fault I think.

Hard to define but management attitude seemed off hand,apathetic. Surprising when so many restaurants are desperate for clientele in this current predicament. They won’t survive on average anymore.

Great food, lousy service. The wait between ordering and receiving our food was extremely long, with no one even coming over to check on us. This isn't the first time we experienced bad service.

Superb food after AC/DC along Canning Hwy. booked spur of the moment and very happy with our meal. Superbly fresh ingredients!

Food was not supplied with the various sauces and condiments as it was in the past. eg. Beef Tataki was in a liquid but previous owners supplied a sauce in a dish with shaved onion or garlic and finely chopped vegetables, which we wrapped around the beef. We also had personal dish of sauce with sashumi. But food was delicious.

The food was wonderful but would have been perfect had we all received our meals at the same time so the four of us could eat together.
