Hayashi Japanese Restaurant

Impressive, including the new girl who needed extra guidance when entering our order on the iPad. We could tell she was very nervous, but sh e persisted and didn't crumble.

Restaurant was not open, would have been helpful to receive a notification instead of finding out when we arrived.

By and large everything was great. Would definitely go back, but there were a couple of hiccups with the service, which meant some people had almost finished their mains as others were getting them served up.

Meal and service was good. Airconditioning didn't appear to be working continuously. Quite warm most of the evening

The staff at Hayashi has consistently raised their customer service level and friendliness. They made our recent dining experience a wonderful and pleasurable one!! Keep up the great work.

Service was poor. Staff disinterested in customers. I wanted to use my Entertainment card but was told I could only have used it if ordering off the Ala carte menu. I was only given the lunch menu and didn’t even know there was another menu. When I said that the staff member ignored me. Disappointing.

Sashimi was not as good as we expected, tuna was very bad. My son ordered a beer, it wasn't cold enough. Karaage chicken has a lots of skin, I feel like ripped off. As I am Japanese, I don't go back there again.

It is a nice restaurant. The overall food and service are good and attentive. Just a little more training for the staff will make it perfect! We went on a Tuesday night. Although there were not many customers, we were put in a table right next to another table. As there are lots of other available tables, they should put customers a bit further away from each other to allow more privacy. The order of food coming out was not ideal too. Entree, sashimi or sushi should come before hot dishes.

Decor nice and bright. Would like tablecloths and not the paper on table. Food fresh and service prompt. Good selection of drinks. Parking can be a problem.

New Years Eve dinner for three was sensational with Lotus chips, seaweed salad, Yuki Udon, prawn tempura, steamed rice and Californian roll served promptly and vibrantly fresh. Green tea to compliment and faultless service. A favourite place because they get so much right.

Was there for lunch on a Thursday. Service was excellent with great atmosphere. Definitely well worth the tad longer wait than usual. Will definitely return!

Beautifully presented Japanese food with all the subtle and prominent tastes you would expect. Top notch service and very helpful waitstaff. It’s a bonus being able to eat dinner early too!

We arrived at 12.25pm for lunch and the restaurant was quite busy. Nevertheless, we were served promptly by the wonderful and friendly staff. Food was great! It was a little noisy as there was a large group of diners near us. Overall, we had a good time.
