Hayashi Japanese Restaurant

First time we have been to this restaurant and so impressed with ambience, service and delicious food. We will return.

Liked everything, can’t fault 😊will definitely go back, love the menu with pictures, so you know exactly what you get.😊

A nice restaurant we have used before, with attentive staff. Ideal for our night of catching up after being in Europe for 3 months.

Worst service I’ve ever experienced. Forgot drink order, forgot mains order. They really had no idea.

Best aburi salmon and scallop, served with a hint of truffle salt. The only problem is it’s available to book at 5 but when I get there , the waiter told me they open at 5:30pm, so we were there waited for almost an hour for food.

Food is so-so and number of floor stuff is insufficient

Quiet cold night (Monday) . Enquired re parking as had to park one street away even on a Monday. Waiter offered parking at rear, just need to call and they will open car park. The only negative is the parking on street. Virtually limited to luck as Tavern next door. Otherwise perfect night and helpful service with a birthday desert free. Will return to try more of the menu.

Our sashimi salmon was a generous serve and beautifully presented. Flavor and texture were excellent Japanese pickles were tasty and crunchy. We always enjoy the flavorsome tempura king prawn roll. We prefer stronger wasabi. We had for the first time a dessert. Cheesecake was delicious and the chocolate pudding stunning. Hayashi is Perth’s best kept secret. We visit regularly and we are never disappointed.

We dined at Hayashi a couple of weeks ago and were so impressed we returned tonight and invited some friends to join us. We like everything about this restaurant: excellent food, efficient, friendly service and a nice gentle atmosphere. A very pleasant dining experience, which we'd recommend to anyone wanting to enjoy the tastes of Japan.

All was excellent. Food was great especially the spider rolls. Happy to come back again and again and again. Food was brought out in a reasonable time but not too quick.

Always beautiful food. They were busy, but food came out in good time. Food was delivered but no plates. This happened last time as well as i remember. Plates used to come out and then food followed. Also, I forgot to order rice, which was not a problem, but usually the waiter would ask if we would like some rice with the meal. Still, all sorted quickly and with no fuss.

Wait staff were very attentive but Unfortunately we got our starter with our mains which was no biggie but a little frustrating. Teriyaki Salmon bento boxes were quite nice but found the salmon slightly over cooked. Would dine here again to try other dishes for comparison as service was attentive.

The food is beautiful but the prices are just too high now (compared with many years ago when it was affordable).
