I've been to other Okami restaurants before and expected the same level of service and quality of food as the others. The service was not good in terms of how some of the food that we ordered did not come out. It took so long we had to leave. The odd thing is, other tables received their food, but there was a good 20 minutes with no food on our table. Even when we decided to leave 50 minutes later one of our first orders did not come out yet. The sushi and some other dishes were great, but especially the karaage was not great. The young lady server who took our feedback tried her best.

Restaurant was cold and the seats are too low. The ordering system is annoying through the phone. The prices have increased, now %100 on corkage, from $5 to $10 per bottle. Unfortunately, like everything, what was a reasonably inexpensive night out with the family is now quite expensive.

Food was good, easy to book online and available times

We've beeb loyal customers for years. The beef is flavoursome and tender. Extensive menu that caters to everyone's favourite Japanese dishes.

The food is excellent. Every dish we had came out quickly & was fresh & delicious. The staff are so polite & efficient, when you ask for something they accomodate your needs very quickly. A great place to go as a couple, with family/children or with friends. Never fails to please. 10/10 Okami, see you again soon.

Probably the best Japanese I ever had. We tried pretty much the entire menu, and didn't like one or two dishes 'as much'. Highly recommended!

Everything was fine except that the seating was uncomfortable. We booked for 10 but fortunatley for us only 8 could come - there was no way we could have seated 10 people in the space provided

Been to Okami few times. This was disappointing. We had to wait 10 mins for wine glasses. Had to ask and then go get wasabi for our sushi. They seem to be preoccupied with Uber eats.

Won’t ever be coming here again , the food was below average , fried rice was burnt , beef dishes had no flavour , I’ve been to a few okami restaurants and they never disappointed , except this store SHOCKING worst birthday dinner ever

I took my Mum who was visiting from NZ. It was her first time and she loved it

Takes forever long (took us more than 1hr) to get their iconic dishes (beef carpaccio and Aburi Nigiri platter). Other Okami restaurants are not like this AT ALL! It usually takes them 5 mins! Their mojitos didn’t come with mints and the waiters didn’t even bother to explain why or apologise for the under delivery. Terrible service and would never come back again! With this being said, Okami in general is good and have delicious food. Choose other okami restaurants near you but would not recommend this Caulfield Okami.

Old order system changed for mobile phone order via QR code. Lost personal touch and meal delivery out of sequence from order. Staff are good but the ordering system sucks in comparison to how we were used to from Okami. Some items ordered did not arrive, others we asked staff to find - nothing like the old Okami we loved.

Going on Valentines Day, we had a feeling it would be busy, and it was. Waiting times for food was okay, but some of the food came out barely room temperature and our sushi/sashimi platter seemed to be out for a while so when we got it the rice was fairly dry on almost every piece on the plate. Overall not too bad :)

Came here with my partner for our monthly date night and we absolutely loved it! It was a pleasant evening, not overly busy or loud. The staff were helpful and prompt, and the food came out hot and quick!

The food itself was sensational, but they seemed to be a bit understaffed for a busy night so the table service wasn’t amazing and there was quite a delay on food coming out which made it hard to keep track of what had been ordered and what was still to come.

Fantastic food, atmosphere and service. Loved everything about today. Would definitely recommend. Great value for money.

LOVE COMING, BUT NOT ENOUGH STAFF LAST NIGHT. SERVICE A LOT SLOWER THAN USUAL. FORGOT ORDERS. THE TABLES AROUND US WERE FULL OF DIRTY DISHES. WE WILL COME BACK AS FOOD GREAT, BUT BE CAREFULL THERE IS COMPETITION.

The food is still great, but they have changed to ordering via QR code which is very impersonal. When we did need help from staff they were not interested. They clearly had not read that we were celebrating a birthday as stated on our booking.
