Quick service, big menu, delicious food, amazing value. Keeps me coming back

I took my Mum who was visiting from NZ. It was her first time and she loved it

Takes forever long (took us more than 1hr) to get their iconic dishes (beef carpaccio and Aburi Nigiri platter). Other Okami restaurants are not like this AT ALL! It usually takes them 5 mins! Their mojitos didn’t come with mints and the waiters didn’t even bother to explain why or apologise for the under delivery. Terrible service and would never come back again! With this being said, Okami in general is good and have delicious food. Choose other okami restaurants near you but would not recommend this Caulfield Okami.

Old order system changed for mobile phone order via QR code. Lost personal touch and meal delivery out of sequence from order. Staff are good but the ordering system sucks in comparison to how we were used to from Okami. Some items ordered did not arrive, others we asked staff to find - nothing like the old Okami we loved.

Going on Valentines Day, we had a feeling it would be busy, and it was. Waiting times for food was okay, but some of the food came out barely room temperature and our sushi/sashimi platter seemed to be out for a while so when we got it the rice was fairly dry on almost every piece on the plate. Overall not too bad :)

Came here with my partner for our monthly date night and we absolutely loved it! It was a pleasant evening, not overly busy or loud. The staff were helpful and prompt, and the food came out hot and quick!

The food itself was sensational, but they seemed to be a bit understaffed for a busy night so the table service wasn’t amazing and there was quite a delay on food coming out which made it hard to keep track of what had been ordered and what was still to come.

Fantastic food, atmosphere and service. Loved everything about today. Would definitely recommend. Great value for money.

LOVE COMING, BUT NOT ENOUGH STAFF LAST NIGHT. SERVICE A LOT SLOWER THAN USUAL. FORGOT ORDERS. THE TABLES AROUND US WERE FULL OF DIRTY DISHES. WE WILL COME BACK AS FOOD GREAT, BUT BE CAREFULL THERE IS COMPETITION.

The food is still great, but they have changed to ordering via QR code which is very impersonal. When we did need help from staff they were not interested. They clearly had not read that we were celebrating a birthday as stated on our booking.

Large group dining at the restaurant and we completely overwhelmed the staff. Despite booking a month in advance, it seems that the team did not factor in our large party size nor the fact that the restaurant was booked out into their staffing arrangements. Our party of 14 participated in the all you can eat and not a single one of us received everything we ordered. Most of what we did receive came a minimum of 30 minutes later, with some things not even coming until 1.5 hours after ordering. A lot of items we were served that are supposed to be hot dishes were cold. We could see that there was so much food sitting on the counters by the kitchen waiting for staff to take the food to tables. When our table kept enquiring about when our food was going to be coming, we received responses from the waiters such as “maybe later”. If the restaurant could not handle our booking size, we should have been told at the time of booking and we could have taken our business somewhere else. Many of our party have dined at other Okami restaurants before and love the food and have never had any issues with the service regardless of party size. This has not turned any of us off Okami however we will not be dining at the Caulfield restaurant again.

We were welcomed and seated promptly, the food was amazing and delicious and the staff were very friendly and polite.

Excellent service in particular by the young man who is very attentive and helpful and took wonderful care of our gluten free friend. Very impressed with his service and friendly demeanour. He was rushed off his feet the entire time and always had a smile. Thank you for the great service.

It was so noisy we could not talk to our friends. We probably should have asked for a quieter table as I later noticed that there were empty tables further back. The service was erratic and it looked like another waiter would have helped. Otherwise it is a good deal and value for $

My partner and I have been here a number of times now and we have absolutely no complaints. Service is always great, staff are friendly and kind and food is always yummy and of good quality. No negatives! :)

Very busy which means there was a lot of noise. Putting this aside, the food was good and staff were very accomodating when special requests were made

Delicious food, great service, faves were: the calamari salad, the chicken teriyaki (so tender), the sashimi, the nigiri and then finished enjoying the black sesame ice cream so much I was surprised (‘cause I am not an ice cream person)… this was my second tine and I’ll be coming back!

There are only my table and one other table in the restaurant for a Sunday lunch. Food came very quickly.

I love Okami. this is the best one in the city, we go there often but not nearly often enough. if I could, I would be there every week! let up the amazing service and food :)

I like the new menus. Interesting having QR codes now to order food. It definitely means you don’t have to wait for a waiter to come to take your order. I like it :)

We had an amazing time and loved the food and service.

Great food as usual,, but they were very busy so service was a little slow. I staff seemed a little annoyed every time he came to our table, but in general the staff were usually smiling.

Worst food ever. Don’t want to think about it. Nothing was hot. All was soggy. Disgusting
