The environment is clean, the food is of good quality, and the staff are friendly. Definitely recommend!

Food was good but certain items we ordered didn't arrive, & some dishes arrived long after we ordered. I would also enjoy oysters but they were excluded from the menu.

Rokko BBQ never disappoints. I’ve been here over 10 times now, and we even celebrated my birthday here tonight. The staff were incredibly accommodating and brought everything we ordered straight to the table with no issues at all. The food is always so fresh and consistently amazing. What really stood out tonight was the service without us even realising, they had closed at 9:30pm and we were still sitting there chatting past closing time. Not once did they rush us or ask us to leave; they patiently waited for us to finish, which was so kind and genuinely appreciated. This place is an easy 11/10. Hands down the best Japanese BBQ in Sydney. We drive all the way from the western suburbs every time, and it is absolutely worth it.

I have been to Rokko several times, and the service had always been great. This time around it honestly was disappointing. Where we were sitting there was no working air conditioning so it was incredibly hot and stuffy. To make matters worse, all the drinks were warm as there was no ice available. Water cups were left on the table from the previous group, and even after asking for cold water (as this was the only cold drinks they had) and cups, they never brought the cups out so we could actually drink it. Shortly after leaving (we only stayed for 45 minutes, so we really didn’t get our moneys worth) I also started to feel sick so not sure what was going on. I really hope that it was a one off, because normally it’s really good.

Waited too long for food and didn't receive many items that we ordered and they ran out of softdrinks. The waitresses were also extremely dry and unhelpful.

I can tell there was a change of chef n management. I told 1 of the new staff...please do not put raw meat n decorate the plate with raw lettuce and veg cos i dun think i will eat it as its bbq in a hot plate.... i wun be able to cook the veg (lettuce). If the customers wants to wrap the bbq beef with raw lettuce. Lettuce shud be serve in a different plate to avoid cross contamination. Miso soup is very salty. Karubi is not as tasty as before...in the past, cooked karubi can be eaten on its own as the marination is so good...now u have to dip in bbq sauce to make it taste better. Chicken karaage not as good as before....taste more of the batter. Otherwise, the service staff are still as friendly n attentive.

Favourite local Japanese AYCE BBQ. The meat can be really great on some (perhaps most) days. It’s not always consistent though.. I love the other non-BBQ dishes too. Friendly service and usually very efficient too.
