The famous Persian poet would be proud to see his name on this favourite Norwood eatery. His fiery verses of love and passion befit a similar expression in the spice-fuelled food of Rumi Palace. Situated in a prime spot on the Parade in eastern Adelaide, this restaurant serves authentic Iranian and Afghan dishes in homage to the flavours created by the great Persian Empire and its role in the Spice Trade. Saffron, paprika, cloves, turmeric and cardamom are among the repeat offenders on the menu at Rumi Palace, where they are used with passion and experience in superb lunch, dinner and dessert dishes that are unusual in Adelaide, especially at this level of quality. This popular restaurant also offers the opportunity to bring your own wine, so you can save money on drinks as you delve into the fragrant and delicious flavours of the Afghan kitchen. Those cravings for Middle Eastern cuisine have few better remedies than the smiles, atmosphere and phenomenal meals dished up at Rumi Palace.
Great food, good selection - lots of choice for the vegetarian member of our group too which was much appreciated. Will go back for sure.
The food had the most amazing flavours I have ever tasted and the menu was extensive. The service was fantastic. The restaurant had a great ambience but this was detracted a little by the actual physical space in the Norwood Cinema complex.
I've been to Rumi Palace twice now and both times the food has been amazing and the service staff friendly and helpful. I'll definitely keep going back!
