Situated on Cronulla Street, right between Cronulla station and the beach, Thy Thai & Vietnamese Restaurant has been a popular stop for visitors to the south Sydney beaches for a while. Thy really runs the gamut of Southeast Asian food, jumping from one culinary canon to the other, highlighting traditional or popular dishes rather than blending everything into a watered-down compromise. Taste their fiery Thai curries (including massaman, green, red and Panang) or fresh Vietnamese rice-paper rolls and you’ll know what we’re talking about. But delve a little deeper into their offerings to find something unfamiliar, too, like battered soft shell crab, roasted chilli quail or deep-fried tofu with a fragrant sauce. Thy Thai & Vietnamese restaurant is no secret though, so make sure you book a table ahead of time, especially on weekends and through the summer.
My husband and I enjoyed a delicious meal at this restaurant. The food was fresh, cooked perfectly and very tasty. The service was friendly and attentive. We will return!
Myself & 3 friends catch up here every 6 months. Always beautiful fresh, tasty food. Generous sized servings. Friendly staff and super cheap. Highly recommended
The food was lovely and the service was quality by long term owners. It is down a side steet and quieter. It has lovely decor too.
