It was amazing I loved the food and the service
No salt & pepper on tables. Missing French flair-decoration-ambiance, Staff could be trained to say bonjour, merci, au revoir and the story behind Bon Matin to tell. Avo croast, less avo and 2 poached eggs would have been nicer balance Staff did not ask for a 2nd drink, missed opportunity. Overall a pleasant brunch with fresh food and good coffees. PS please mention dog friendly, treats, etc. on the website. This could be one of your selling point.
The food was exceptionally good and we can thoroughly recommend; the chef is clearly talented. The waitress was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We had a great experience and highly recommend this restaurant.
We were outside with the river view. Great food, and a reasonable price.
Not a very good Menu with limited choices , service: average with no follow up if needed drinks etc Would I go back ?? NO
Everything was perfect - great food and really nice experience. We went for the Chicken sauce forestière and its spaetzle - which is a sort of pasta coming from Alsace in the eastern part of France. Really yummy ! The dessert was also 100% perfectly executed, probably one of the best île flottante we have had in a while. The team at Bon Matin is friendly and welcoming… This is a hidden gem to discover
We are only a 10 minute walk away from Bon Matin, and it is a very pleasant experience to enjoy a delicious meal and good glass of red at a very reasonable price. We both had the chicken liver pate as entree followed by the duck l'orange, together with the added special dish, a seafood vol au vant which we shared. We also shared crepes Suzette to complete the meal, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We highly recommend Bon Matin.
Friendly welcome - felt like we were guests at a good friend’s home. The french food was delicious- loved the pate appetiser, and the seafood pastry was very tasty too- just hint of chilli to enjoy. Congratulations Marc - loved your cooking and look forward to returning.
Top French chef who serves great classic French bistro meals that are great value. A friendly atmosphere and a lovely outlook on the Yarra.
Wonderful atmosphere. Good & service excellent- love the mushroom omelette
Amazing restaurant, brilliant chef, great friendly staff and delicious food!
Excellent traditional French food. We loved the experience and tried some new dishes such as the Île Flottante and Gougère cheese and onion. Great experience!
Great food and excellent service. I would definitely go back.
Very good food and lot of choices. Nice services from hospitality staff.
Excellent loved it all. Exceptional both atmosphere and food. Loved it
Server was very professional, courteous and attuned to our dietary issues. Food was to a generally high standard reflecting the talent of the French chef, apart from a tiny miss of zest in the ‘à l’orange’ main. Limited but good selection of wines at reasonable prices.
Set menu dinner and service were wonderful.Duck was really tasty.
Excellent French food at a very reasonable price. Friendly service and a warm, relaxed atmosphere.
The Duck a l’orange was delicious. So was the broccoli soup offered as a special. The staff were friendly and welcoming.
They cooked a special order for my grandson and the specials were lovely thanks Antonine and staff
Relaxing atmosphere, helpful service, small menu with French flair. Yum!
