Had a great evening!!!!! 👏🏻👍🏻😍 Why don’t you drop the word ‘Bistro’ from the name? Been driving last for years n never knew it’s a fine dining restaurant! Always thought it’s a drinking hole!😝

Hidden gem in an unassuming building with nice atmosphere, great food and service

The food was fantastic and the wines matched perfectly. The only downside was the single toilet which was on the top floor, which made it difficult for our more senior members of the group.

We had a great night with lovely 7 course degustation. The only thing I would change would be is the male waiter he was very formal. His explanations of the dishes was good but too serious and too formal in our view

Really loved Deer Duck Bistro, as always. It's our favourite place to go for anniversaries and special occasions.

Went for dinner with a group had the 5 course menu. The food was truly amazing beautifully presented & the tastes for each meal were outstanding. The wait staff were all exceptional. All new the food, were super efficient & unobtrusive. Of course the decor is fabulous, cozy, comfortable and gives you sense of warmth. Loved it all. Very highly recommend. My second visit not my last.

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely night at Deer Duck. The atmosphere is like nothing in Brisbane (I felt like we escaped to Europe for the night!), the service was exceptional with the wait staff very professional and knowledgeable and this was all backed up by an exquisite 7-course meal.

I know degustation means small serves, but these were mostly tiny. The soup was literally one dessert spoon. The wine list had one red by the glass but it was n/a. So no reds by the glass! I drank a beer instead. Nice atmosphere and good waiters but definitely overpriced. 5 items x 2 people plus 1 drink close to $200!

Exceptional service, beautiful interior, the food though wasn’t up to our standards for this type of restaurant, the balance wasn’t there in two out of three dishes we had. Will try it again some time in future to give it a second chance. Staff is amazing

Didn't quite hit the mark for the price point. Staff, whilst friendly, we're very undertrained and generally quite confused. We ordered cocktails after discussing timing with the waitress and being told they would come out first, but they came out after the first meal and we didn't really want them anymore. Veggie options not as advertised on website and at times seemed slapped together - cauliflower and frozen peas is not a decent replacement for the duck course. Had it not cost so much, or had the food been a bit better we would have been happy. We just didn't really get what we paid for.

The staff had no idea. We ordered wine and they left it on the table no glasses nor did they poor it. A total of 7 staff served us and a couple of them seemed to be kitchen staff not waiters. The last bottle of wine we had the guy dropped it off and ran away like he was afraid of it.

Ive never seen a restaurant interior as interesting and beautiful. An unassuming shopfront gives way to a hidden dining room. Walking in for the first time absolutely blew me away and I knew we were in for a good experience. The food was inventive, unique and perfectly cooked. The waitstaff were attentive and helpful. Definitely recommended for a special occasion.

Great experience, top food, service and dining room. Makes for a perfect night out with someone special, family or friends. Loved every aspect of this fantastic experience, we will definitely return.
