Hayashi Japanese Restaurant

Went for mother’s day dinner.. Food was super tasty as always and the service was very friendly. Food was staggered well and overall was a great night :) Best thing is it’s BYO and in the entertainment book too.

The staff were friendly but the service was a bit all over the place. For example the rice never came out for the set menu until all the dishes were clear. One of the individual main meals didn't come out for quite some time as well. The food was tasty though.

Food presetation was very well done. Flavour and taste excellent. Prompt attentive service and nice ambience. Good choice menu for selection. Will patronize again for sure

The food and service were great. My friend and I were able to sit and chat for as long as we wanted to and didn't feel rushed on, like some restaurants.

Great service and high quality authentic Japanese food. Fresh sashimi. Tempura cooked to perfection. Menu is the more traditional Japanese dishes. But the standard is good every time we went. Great place for children it's bright and spacious. And the kids can scribble all over the paper table liner. Air con always strong unlike some Asian restaurants.

I have been here several times now and the food and service never disappoints. Every dish we ordered was excellent. We will certainly return soon.

Food and service was good. Parking is a problem as we had to park a long distance away There is no disabled parking. Steps up to restaurant front door were difficult with a disabled person.

Food was amazing, It was a good 20min wait, but you can really tell how much effort the team puts into the meals and the presentation and the freshness of the food! so worth the wait! Well done, would definitely come back again and try the traditional Sake rice wine! :)

Friendly staff and great service! The restaurant is clean and tidy. Overall the quality of food was good but the portion size could be larger.

Great food & service to match. When ask if we were celebrating a birthday, which we were, they gave us a small gift. Maneki-neko was a cute surprise.

Service is good. Meals come out in a good time. Waiters don’t hover but will attend to every request even when busy. Food is always excellent and nicely presented. That’s why we keep returning!

The service was very good and the food was delicious! It was very pleasant surprise with fresh Edamame. I have never had unfrozened Edamame outside of Japan before. It was delicious! We enjoyed it very much and we'll return!

Delicious food and good service. Gyoza tasty as was the kingfish new style . Probably the best starter was the tuna with an citrus jelly on top. All mains nice, tempura was best, tepanyaki beef a bit tough.

This restaurant is a true Japanses delight. The food is fresh & flavoursome, the service is exceptional and would highly recommend Hayashi Japanese Restaurant for amazing food.

Neighborhood Japanese restaurant with wide menu including bento boxes. Highlight of the night was the avocado roll sushi. Other food were average, e.g. freshness of sashimi was mediocre, katsu dishes were ok but the Beef Teppanyaki tasted average & Tempura main was with heavy batter. Staffs were helpful & they do serve Sapporo on tap

Quiet atmosphere; excellent service and food cooked to perfection. Will definately dine there again. Prices reasonable. I highly recommend dining at this restaurant and my compliments to the chef and staff.

Recently visited the Hyashi and was most impressed. Received warm smiling welcome, we were seated quickly by the efficient staff. The food was delicious and we will certainly return.

Lovely fresh sushi. Lunch specials are very reasonable and I look forward to going for dinner some time soon as The menu looks very good. Good service. Shame you now have to pay to park 😡

The food was delicious, the restaurant was lovely and unpretentious, the sake was fantastic and it was an overall great night out. We will be going again.

Food was terrific, staff were friendly and helpful. atmosphere was a little lacking. The lighting was too bright and it made it feel very casual.

Good food, great service and clean and presentable restaurant. Meat and fish is cooked just right..not overcooked. However, it is a bit hard to find parking for the restaurant.

We had a lovely Valentine's evening. Food tasty, well presented and fresh. Service, although a little slow in parts, was generally attentive and staff very friendly.

Casual ambience but lovely. Very attentive staff. We had gyoza entree which was delicious and for mains we had beef teppanyaki and Tempura bento. Lots of food in both dishes. We shared the rice in the bento box between us as the teppanyaki didn't include rice. We were so full after out mains we had no space for dessert. We decided that next time we'll go and just order a selection of entrees and dessert so we can try more dishes :-D

Was served a warm bottle of white wine, first dish arrived and we had to ask for plates, little bit unorganised, but food was good.

Great, fresh food. The restaurant itself is a bit dated, but of you can look past that, it’s worth a visit. Recommend the teppanyaki mackerel. Yum!

Great little restaurant, we're very surprised when the waiter came back and told us he thought we had ordered too much food, what a great start we could always order more we were very thankful. All food was excellent, the sushi was good but I have tasted better but the Unagi, chicken and salmon were delicious.

We had a fabulous meal and the service was very good. The staff were so helpful in recommending dishes. We will definitely be eating at Hayashi again.
