Just Italy - Mentone

Food was okay but service was so slow and terrible. Took 30 minutes before we could order after grabbing the waiters multiple times and kept being told “yes ok 1 minute”. The wait for food was an hour and when it did come out there was then another 20 minute wait between mine and my partners meal. I was finished before he had even got his. Not a single smile from any of the staff there and basic service skills were seriously lacking.

Nice food, lovely staff. However extremely short staffed, leading to extremely slow service.

Wrong sauce on pasta, dessert arrived with no cutlery and ice cream rather than cream as listed on the menu. No staff to greet or direct us on arrival. Generally staff could have been friendlier but a great space and location. Booked ahead so no waiting time except to be directed to our table.

This place has only been opened a short time but I found the upstairs area very nice. Bit of glare as the sun was setting, maybe be a blind or two on the window for the short time. Food was nice, service good considering the place was packed. I will be returning.

Great atmosphere ! Good sized food portions. Pastas and pizzas delicious. Young waiter who served our table was very attentive to our needs. An enjoyable dining experience. Thank you Just Italy.

Was not handed a bill but told to pay at counter. Total amount was quoted and had to request bill. New restaurant so perhaps things will improve as was extra busy with locals keen to try a new eatery.

This is my 3rd visit since the opening night. Just love the place. Staff and food is beautiful. Real authentic Italian food.❤️

We understand that the restaurant has only been open for a week, so lots of teething problems. When we arrived, we were advised that we had the table for one hour to one and a half hours, this was OK, as we had not intended to stay long anyway, but we waited 20 minutes for drinks and one of the main meals did not arrive with the others. Lots of staff learning the ropes - the waitresses we had were lovely and trying really hard to do everything correctly. Very noisy and lots of flies inside, so maybe a fly zapper. Will give it another try down the track, when things maybe settle a little. Thank you.

Food was Just Fabulous at Just Italy! We had the degustation and we were not disappointed with any of the dishes served. We will definitely be back.

I had the Seafood Ravioli. It was bland and presentation could have came out with a bit of green garnish on top to make it look nice. A little disappointed but loved how they have designed and furnished the restaurant and the atmosphere was relaxed and fun. I will be back.

Only new and the restaurant was busy. Needed to chase the waiter to get service. Not too bad and should improve over time. Good pizza and good price. We will be back

Loved it felt like we were back in Italy great to finally have a lovely place to eat out in Mentone.

Authentic Italian food experience. We tried meatballs. arancini, pizzas, pastas and the melanzane parmigiano- all delicious and left us wanting to return to try more items on the menu. Generous portions. Friendly service. Amazing coffee. Buzzing atmosphere. Do yourself a favour and head on down.

Food was great. Service very slow. Some of the meals came out much later than others at our table, not together. Staff friendly but unsure and inexperienced

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. This was the opening weekend very impressed. If you go try the sweet potato gnocchi with cream sauce and peas mmm yum.

The service and the warmth from the staff was spot on. You could tell they were making everyone welcome. The pizza was brilliant. The food wasn’t perfect (yet) but in the coming weeks they will have this place humming. You can see very clearly how good this place will be. All meals needed more sauce. Well done guys on your 3rd night. It’s an incredible achievement by the owners to present a beautiful establishment like this one. Stunning renovation of one of Mentone’s iconic sites. Can’t wait for the rooftop to open. Will be back in a few weeks when the small issues are sorted.

Tables were too close upstairs with people squeezing past all through the sitting. Anchovies and burrata very nice entrees, veal snitzel was tender however the salad with it was only lettuce with a tiny bit of red onion. The fettuccine carbonara was quite bland. For the desserts the cannolis very tasty and crisp, whilst the tiramisu was very good. We did like the look of the pizzas being delivered to other tables so will try them when we visit next time. The service was slow however this was understandable for second night open.

Food was delicious and tasty. It was day 2 so so understand there is some timing issues. All good will be back.
