The food was well prepared and delivered in a timely way, but the portion sizes were very small - particularly the mains. We were asked to move from our seating since the next round of guests had arrived - we had no prior warning that this would occur and had not yet ordered dessert. The seating at the teppenyaki were placed too close together and I was regularly jogging elbows with the woman next to me. B
Lovely atmosphere, great food, and excellent service: what more can you ask for?. I will always recommend this restaurant to anyone (friends or family) looking for some excellent Teppanyaki experience.
Wonderful food and a fabulous night. Thank you to everyone at the Samurai Teppanyaki House. 😊 We had the Teppanyaki and it was amazing. 👍
QUALITY OF FOOD WAS EXCELLENT. GOOD ATMOSPHERE AND SERVICE. RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO PEOPLE WHO ENJOY JAPANESE CUISINE. WINE LIST NEEDS TO BE IMPROVED BUT JAPANESE BEER IS GREAT.
Food great. Sat at high table rather than Teppanyaki bar as booked which dropped rating. You go to a Teppanyaki bar to see the chef not be put away in a corner away from the BBQ.
An extensive menu - teppanyaki and a la Carte options. Food was sensational and extremely tasty. Couldn’t fault a thing. Service was great as well.
The food was really great. The service needs some work. The waiting staff need to work better as a team and communicate with each other.
Great food, great theatre with the Chefs in charge making it a fun place to eat. The staff are so pleasant and helpful. Just lovely.
Awesome food, awesome service. Love this place. The new premises makes it more comfortable and a little more space. Definitely somewhere you would never get sick of visiting.
Great environment, Great food, Great chefs, Great menu! The new Samurai Teppanyaki House is visually fantastic, and busy enough to feel lively but not crowded. Same menu and it's beautiful. The vegetarian option was delicious!
Dined as a family for my husband's birthday - a lovely meal and excellent, friendly service. Highly recommend the beef tenderloin and the Teppanyaki banana dessert!
Excellent, great food and service, the staff we very friendly and seated us promptly. We sat right on the cooking station and the chef Willis gave us a great show. You just have to go there!
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our experience at Samurai Teppanyaki. The seafood was really fresh and all the meat had a beautiful Smokey charcoal flavour. The sauces that they used were very flavoursome and they have a great list of wines.
The food was fresh and cooked to perfection. Our chef was friendly, accommodating and professional. Overall, we felt we got excellent value for our money.
Great food and an awesome chef named Samauri Jack. The food was cooked to perfection, the portions were plentiful and the banana dessert was worth going all by itself. The pace of the meal was nice, you never felt rushed or like you were waiting for the next course.
Outstanding food as usual. The quality of the food is exceptional. The new location is excellent and the atmosphere in the restaurant is relaxed. However, the service standards have fallen since the move to the new location because it is now a much larger and impersonal restaurant.
Excellent place. The chef's are fun and friendly and the food so fresh and cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back there very soon.
They've just moved to a new location with a fantastic and large fit out with 3 teppanyaki grills. Very nicely presented. And the food was amazing!
Fabulous food, matched by the service. We have bene nagging out for this place to reopen as we were regulars at Norwood and thankfully little has changed except even nicer décor now
Considering the price, you get very little food. The food tasted fine, it wasn't anything to rave about which was a shame because the restaurant itself looked great and the staff were lovely.
Great performance spectacle of meal being prepared in front of us, taking into consideration individual differences. The room was a bit chilly but the Hyde Park move may improve on this in future. Food was delicious.
Loved the experience and the food. It was a bit noisy but with the move to a new location this should be fixed. Looking forward to booking at the new location soon.
