If a restaurant is named after the most feared and strong army in the world, it’s pretty much guaranteed that the food is going to be of a certain quality. The Gurkha’s Restaurant right in the heart of Adelaide serves up Nepalese cuisine that is equal parts healthy and nutritious without compromising on the flavour. You’ll find The Gurkha’s Restaurant on Angas Street, where their menu is extensive and authentic, with favourites consisting of poleko khasi, charcoal lamb cutlets marinated with aromatic herbs and spices, chicken and vegetable momos, and chicken sekuwa, marinated with fresh herbs and spices in a tandoori oven served with spinach and dhal. Whatever you choose, know it’s going to be satisfying in all aspects and leave your taste buds dancing. Just be sure to book ahead of time.
Good restaurant, nice food. Nice and quiet music makes this one stand out from plenty of noisy ones. Not expensive food. Good parking around in the evening.
Unbelievably good food for a small city restaurant, almost out of sight. The curries are the best I've ever eaten. The service is second to none. Even the Nepalese tea I had was delicious. And the prices? I've spent more on lunch at a deli! I shall go back again and again.
The food was delicious and very good service. We have eaten here on a few occasions and will be back. Ghurkas is good value for money.
