Very good food, service and ambience plus a short intelligent wine list

The staff were wonderful The food was an utter delight, fresh, vibrant flavours with gorgeous presentation. The cocktails were luscious the kiwi sour was a stand out. We loved it and will be talking about it for weeks to come

Considering our early booking, the service was quite slow. Some dishes never arrived and the portion sizes were very small for the price.

We were 3, 1 ordered beef and got duck, 1 asked not spicy and got a dish full of chili. Super long to get the food. Not a gesture on the bill.

It was a little hard to find (perhaps our reading of the Google map directions), but once we got there, we were very happy with it. Great service, delicious light and healthy food with a little zing! Highly recommended.

The service was okay but felt a bit inconsistent, as it seemed others received better attention than we did. My cocktail was enjoyable, though it felt overpriced given that it arrived half-filled with ice. The food overall was good—the tuna bombs were flavorful, and the pad Thai was tasty but disappointing with only two prawns, which felt insufficient. The fish curry had great flavor but was a tad too spicy for my husband.

Delicious Thai themed menu with emphasis on fresh ingredients. We loved it.

In the best possible way Bang Tang stands out from other Thai places. The food is refined and simply delicious from start(er) to finish. Service, and Ambiente as well as the selection of wines showcase that a high level of care was taken to provide a fully satisfying experience. 👍👍👍

We were looking for a restaurant near our hotel in Woolloomooloo and tossed up between Bang Tang and a few others. Our taste buds are thrilled! Everything we ordered was exceptional, in particular the tuna bombs, chicken cigars and the duck. (The duck was sooo good). Not only was the food delicious, but the service was 5*. The host was warm and welcoming and clearly had great experience as a hospitality. He also seemed genuinely happy to be of service. Something we haven’t seen much during our Sydney weekend in other places. We highly recommend Bang Tang and we will be back when next in town!

Bang Tang is our ‘go to’ place in Potts Point to catch up with friends or for a weekday meal. Food is delicious and great for sharing, and not too expensive. Nice selection of wines too, with BYO wine Monday and Tuesdays a bonus. Highly recommended.

A cosy place with exquisite food, flavours that make you fall in love and the best signature cocktails. We always come back, you know him and you can't stop going a couple of times a month. Incredible to share food, drinks and conversations and the best attention of its own owner.

Dinner with friends, 4 of us at a table, sharing two very pleasing curries — pork, the day’s special, and beef from the menu. Good Delatite wine from a small but well chosen wine selection. Reasonably priced, nice potts pointy buzz. We’ll be back for sure.

It was a very satisfying meal out. Everything was just so good. And while it was not very fully booked, it seems/ certainly was for us a very good 'space' on all levels. The interior is a good size - not too big and not to small - and fresh and clean but not too bright or too dimly lit. The music was not too loud so conversation was easy. The food was so lovely and fresh and the service was just great. We were not rushed but the staff were readily available when we needed them to be. I recommend it and will definitely return.

Bang Tang is Great value, good food and friendly staff

Our Sunday lunch was delicious. Fresh herbs, crunchy sprouts, cucumber in our dishes of veg rice paper rolls/satay chicken/duck which we shared. Delicate flavours, with chilli sauce on the side if you like a bit more Bang in your dish. Very pleasant sitting outdoors too.

Bang Tang has mastered healthy fresh Asian fusion, simply excellent food at great prices, and sitting outdoors on a sunny day makes it perfect.

A neighbourhood gem! Can't wait to go back for more.
