Without sounding negative, the the interior is a big dingy and lost in time. Comfortable atmosphere with outdated Italian music. Greeted by a very energetic and personable middle aged man. Made feel very welcome from the onset. We ordered the Morton bay bugs and the eye fillet medium rare. It was on point. It was accompanied with grilled vegetable that were unforgettably tasteful. Bugs were cooked well and my wife enjoyed them. We decided to do deserts so ordered creme brûlée and passion fruit panna cotta. Both enjoyed immensely. Was very surprised it wasn’t so busy for a Friday night with food so good and sensibly priced. Happily recommend and will be back again.

Monday’s special fish dish was really good, and the pizzas were tasty and reasonably priced. Jos and his team were very cheerful and welcoming, made the dining experience even better.

Franks provided us with great food and amazing service. We highly recommend you visit. Outtakes were cooked to perfection

The food was amazing. We had the seafood share platter for two. The serve was very generous, and the seafood was fresh cooked to perfection it just melted in your mouth.

It was good, The people were great, but the food was ok, my steak was great, but Mrs food was not, she was not happy, she ordered the fish. She didnt get any lemon not much veggies & the sauce was a bit runny. It is a very nice place but few changes may make it worth while.

We ordered an entre then our main course that we had asked for when we were ready came to soon after the entre when we had specifically asked for the mains to be served when we asked for them

The night special steak was excellent, high quality and cooked perfectly. Josh and his team were friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Will return.

Ordered the chicken parmigiana and both were pink and raw on the inside They did waiver the price of one of the meals but won’t be going back nor could I recommend it

Such a lovely restaurant, great service and nothing is too hard.

They were short staffed. Only 2 staff working. Should have had at least one more server. I felt sorry for the staff working, as they were run off their feet.

It was so different from about four years ago. This time the food was so good and cooked very well. The service was excellent by both waiter and waitress and very attentive. I definitely will return to Frank's after four years.

We celebrated my husband's birthday. I had been many years ago and wasn't sure how it would be. Hard to know when you have a big group of people. We had such a great night. All our meals were delicious. Our waitress was very professional and knew exactly what everyone ordered when she served our meals. Always reassured we were ok and if we needed anything. We will definity go back. Thanks for a memorable night.

The service was pleasant and friendly. The food, which was priced towards the higher end of the market, was satisfying. It felt authentic Italian, unlike so many places in Melbourne that have cheap migrant labour in the kitchen and just pretend to be authentic Italian.

The food and prices were excellent, I think the wait staff needed a little bit more training on the menu, and having plates for shared platters just basic service standards really. I know this sounds like a whinge, but the chairs are ever so uncomfortable, something with a bit of padding will go a long way, especially for the oldies, overall good value good choices and a nice atmosphere, Frank's has been an institution for a long time, try sitting in those chairs for over an hour and you will understand. Had a nice dinner with friends. Steak were cooked to order, got a nice bottle of cab sav, mushroom sauce was tasty. Another positive was the Italian music in the background. The let down was that one of my friends got a noticeably smaller piece of meat. She wasn’t that fuzzed because she loves her veggies so she didn’t complain.

Good night out. Nice to have a place to take family and friends.
