To start with we were rushed to order our food, then we didn’t finish our entrees when the waiter took them away because our mains were ready. The food itself had no flavor. We ordered surf and turf but the prawns were not in the sauce, they were boiled and you had to peel them yourself and put them in the sauce. Also we wanted to order desert but the two dessert we wanted on the menu were out of stock

Customer service is outstanding. The steak is of good quality, and the salad elements are freshly prepared.

Food is very good. We had the entree seafood platter that was lovely with calamari, 2 scallops, 3 halves of bugs and 3 king prawns on it, with my only critique tha they only give you 3 halves of bugs and 3 prawns for 2 people. So not a full share if it is two people eating it - but it was still delicious and fresh! The wood fired focaccia was absolutely delicious. My main was garlic prawns, and hubby had the lamb shoulder. Our dinner was plentiful, and delicious. Price for drinks and dinner was vey reasonable. We had not been to Franks for some years, and not sure why, so planning on visiting more - we forgot how enjoyable it is.

Service was amazing and the food was always great. We went on a Wednesday night for the Parma special, which was excellent. Our friend had the fish and it was amazing as well. Would definitely recommend!

From the time we walked in, we felt valued. We were greeted warmly and our orders taken without us feeling rushed. The food was wonderful. A home cooked feeling and taste to all we had. Throughout the night we had pleasant conversations with the owners but when we wanted time to ourselves, we were not interrupted. All in all a lovely night and we will be back

the food was amazing, you have to try the scallops Al Limone they where outstanding and so fresh.

Food is always on point from entrees to wood fire pizzas, never disappoints! Small sittings to larger group, the staff are always pleasant and welcoming. Love this place ❤️

Without sounding negative, the the interior is a big dingy and lost in time. Comfortable atmosphere with outdated Italian music. Greeted by a very energetic and personable middle aged man. Made feel very welcome from the onset. We ordered the Morton bay bugs and the eye fillet medium rare. It was on point. It was accompanied with grilled vegetable that were unforgettably tasteful. Bugs were cooked well and my wife enjoyed them. We decided to do deserts so ordered creme brûlée and passion fruit panna cotta. Both enjoyed immensely. Was very surprised it wasn’t so busy for a Friday night with food so good and sensibly priced. Happily recommend and will be back again.

Monday’s special fish dish was really good, and the pizzas were tasty and reasonably priced. Jos and his team were very cheerful and welcoming, made the dining experience even better.

It was good, The people were great, but the food was ok, my steak was great, but Mrs food was not, she was not happy, she ordered the fish. She didnt get any lemon not much veggies & the sauce was a bit runny. It is a very nice place but few changes may make it worth while.

We ordered an entre then our main course that we had asked for when we were ready came to soon after the entre when we had specifically asked for the mains to be served when we asked for them

Ordered the chicken parmigiana and both were pink and raw on the inside They did waiver the price of one of the meals but won’t be going back nor could I recommend it

Such a lovely restaurant, great service and nothing is too hard.

They were short staffed. Only 2 staff working. Should have had at least one more server. I felt sorry for the staff working, as they were run off their feet.

It was so different from about four years ago. This time the food was so good and cooked very well. The service was excellent by both waiter and waitress and very attentive. I definitely will return to Frank's after four years.

We celebrated my husband's birthday. I had been many years ago and wasn't sure how it would be. Hard to know when you have a big group of people. We had such a great night. All our meals were delicious. Our waitress was very professional and knew exactly what everyone ordered when she served our meals. Always reassured we were ok and if we needed anything. The service was pleasant and friendly. The food, which was priced towards the higher end of the market, was satisfying. It felt authentic Italian, unlike so many places in Melbourne that have cheap migrant labour in the kitchen and just pretend to be authentic Italian.
