Hayashi Japanese Restaurant

I used to be a regular until a couple of years ago when quality and service declined. Finally went back and found everything had improved significantly. Sashimi and bento boxes were delish and the service fast and attentive. Will be back on the rotation!

Wonderful food, presentation and service from friendly staff. Very creative way of preparing and displaying Japanese food. If you lov e Japanese food you won’t be disappointed.

While the rest of the family suffer from indecision and too many options, I found that what appears to be a changed menu meant that there were no gluten-free and vegetarian options, and my previous go-to choice was not to be found. But the food is still tasty.

Food very good. Needed to ask for glasses, cutlery and plates so not quite on the ball in that area. Layout is good with dividers to reduce the noise of people on adjacent tables - well appreciated.

Excellent food and service,overall a very pleasant experience the restaurant itself was very well presented.the waiter and waitress were very helpful and friendly.would defiantly recommended.

Absolutely delicious food - the Tempura Prawns were amazing. Service was fabulous and the setting is really lovely. Will definitely come back again and again.

We enjoyed great attentive service, with advice about food and which rice wine we'd like. The sashimi, chicken teriyaki and salad were all delicious. My partner even liked his tofu.

Great food, well priced and good service. Will visit again soon. Would highly recommend Hayashi for lunch or dinner. Parking can be difficult so best to arrive early.

Excellent food and very good service. We will always comeback whenever we salivate for Japanese foods. Sake variety is also good.......highly recommended place to everyone .

Th Hayashi is always a reliable local family dining experience. We had a large mixed sashimi that was excellent, with a generous amount of beautiful tuna as well as salmon and kingfish.

Fantastic food, the bento boxes are good value as you get to taste a range of foods (lots of small sides included). Kid friendly - we asked for a highchair with the reservation and they had set out colouring markers to use on the paper table covering, and baby wipes as well.

My family and I are regular customers at Hayashi restaurant. Always we find the food excellent with a lot of choices that are clearly described. Service is prompt and friendly.

Just selected the wrong dish. Also poor value for money, with only 4 prawns and 2 scallops for around $29. Have previously had good experiences

Very helpful, efficient, and friendly staff. Food is presented beautifully. Prompt service. Nice traditional Japanese music. Parking nearby can be a bit of a problem.

Service was fantastic, ambiance was relaxing, and food was perfect. My favourite was beef teppanyaki. The price of food is expensive for the portions given even with the Entertainment book discount.

Amazingly fresh flavoursome food. Polite and professional staff. Always treated like I come first. Food comes out perfect timing and to perfection. Lunch specials should be advertised more as they are such good value for money. Music playing is very relaxing.

Really fresh tasty food and nice atmosphere. Great variety of gluten free options so highly recommended for coeliacs or gluten intolerant people. Both my friend and I will go again.

Longest wait I've ever had in my life for food (2 hours). Quality of food (which was average) did not make up for the poor service and high price. The only highlight is that this is the worst eating experience our family has ever had in our lives to date, and will be hard to top and will be talking point for years to come.

The restaurant has great food, service & friendly staff. Very nice atmosphere. Parking at lunch time metered & limited but not a problem for dinner I believe.

Salmon sashimi that dissolves on your tongue with texture and taste that is second to none. Tempura king prawn crisp and full flavoured with a delicious after taste making you wish for more. Garden salad full of fresh greens to counterbalance the protein. Tempura prawn roll that overtakes all with its unique pallete We enjoy our weekly pilgrimage to Hayashi with its great food and friendly service.

The service was very good. We didn’t have to wait too long for drinks, menus or food. The food was fresh and tastefully served. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant - not too noisy so we could chat !

The food very nice, especially the sashimi really fresh. The staffs are friendly and kindly, they also helpful in choosing food. We gonna come back soon

The staff where very well mannered with quick service, the food we thought was good but could have been better for gold class. Really liked the look of the restaurant except the chairs.

Exceptional food and service, as always. Went to celebrate my daughter's 21st and they gave us complimentary Gyoza (yummy) and offered dessert (but we were too full). So they just said "next time".

The waiter was friendly and polite. The food is above average, but the price is a bit expensive. The Entertainment card will give you a 25% discount. It's worth to have it.

Great food & service :) We love the lotus root chips, beef tenderloin teppanyaki & oyster katsu. Staff are friendly and do their best to make you feel welcome.

Lovely restaurant, shame they put an egg on my vegan bento. Staff are friendly food is wonderful. We had Japanese tea which was lovely on a cold night.

Service was good and the food was excellent, we had a table of 4 all had different meals for entree and mains and all agreed how good the food was

Really average food, had the chicken teriyaki bento and to be honest I’ve had better in a food court. The service was pleasant, nice surroundings and fairly reasonable prices but being a nice restaurant I had higher expectations. Won’t be dining here again as would rather go somewhere else.

Lovely fresh food with nice sake selection. Good extensive menu. Comfortable sitting ambience conducive to large group dining. Would love to go again to try other food.

Food = Great, Service = Great, Ambience = Great! The whole experience was wonderful. Fresh Shasimi and delicious Miso Soup. Will definitely return again for sure.

Fabulous night out - wonderful food with the friendliest staff. Definitely recommend - whether for a casual quick bite or for a special occasion. The food and service were outstanding.
