Meet the Greek

This is our local restaurant where the food and service are always above average. As regulars it would have been nice to acknowledge our patronage.

Great food but staff could have been a bit happier. I suppose this adds to the authenticity though as when I've visited Greece the customer service anywhere is never particularly good. Music was a little loud. 4th visit and have always enjoyed the experience.

We went to Meet the Greek for Sunday lunch and it was excellent. Great atmosphere, attentive staff and wonderful food. Everything we ordered was served very quickly.

As always, the food was great and the service professional, efficient and friendly. I haven't found a better value for money dining experience in Sydney.

The food was good, loved the Pita bread with dips and also the salad. The atmosphere was great, with live music and the staff were friendly.

Service was very friendly and quick, the meal excellent, we shared a Greek Platter it was delicious, also live music great. Entertainment live was fantastic

Lovely and attentive staff, pity we couldn't order the classic dish of moussaka as they said it would take too long in comparison to our other dishes ordered for 7 people. Disappointing Greek salad. Overall though, perhaps it was our choices that were amiss 😅

First time I went there it was great. Unfortunately this time the Food was over cooked and we were rushed in and out within an hour.

We tried Vegetarian Pastitsio, Salmon Brizola and Kontosouvli plate (Lamb), they were all fantastic, especially Kontosouvli plate. The decoration is nice and staff are friendly.

Really poor restaurant overall. Staff are rude and unhelpful. Food was poor, lamb was tough and overlooked and the lamb shank seemed like it had only been slow cooked for 45 minutes! Never going back again.

Great food. Well presented. Excellent fit out and atmosphere. We really enjoyed the dips, octopus and lamb. Who knew the Greek mineral water tasted so good?

The food was excellent, and so was the service. Only one complaint, the mains were brought out shortly after the meze. We felt rushed, like they wanted us to finish quickly and leave.

A great night out with delicious Traditional Greek Food, the Mezze dips were amazing, with the eggplant dip being the star. There was a lively, bustling atmosphere with live music... Great Stuff!!

The place was very noisy during a Friday night. Good food though. Tables are placed too close to each other. Service was mediocre. Overall, a pleasant night.

They were a bit disorganised finding us a table after we had booked but the food was good . We decided to share a starter and the main meal arrived about 1 minute after the starter.

GREAT FOOD! Service could have been slightly better. But overall was a great restaurant. The set menu is well worth the money you pay. recommended

Good for groups. We were able to share plenty of dishes. Large servings too. Nice food and Greek wine. Live music on Friday and Sundays.

Great location opposite the bay on a busy cafe strip but cosy inside. Service was efficient and pleasant. We shared holoumi and fried zucchini for starters and then the vegetarian moussaka, chicken skewers, lamb, and salad. Large portions, nice greek wine.

Lovely place with lovely service staff. Had to ask about one meal we were waiting on but staff quick to bring it out after asking.

We made a booking for 22 people and the banquet menu (our group from around Australia). The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was alive and vibrant, great location and top shelf service. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will return without hesitation. Its clearly popular, so would recommend booking ahead rather than walk up. Well done to the team out front and in the kitchen, looking forward to a return.

Great food, service and Greek Beers. We had many mezes to share and that was plenty! The tyropites and three dips were delicious, the horta were great too.

My friend who was meeting me at the restaurant was very late (time mixup). The staff were very accepting of this and offered to get me a drink in the interim. They were very friendly and the food was delicious. Portion sizes of our selection of haloumi, spinach and feta pie, calamari and roast vegetables were very generous. When presented with the bill, I was pleasantly surprised - less than $80 which included 3 glasses of wine and a soft drink. Excellent value.

The service was slow and we were unimpressed by the meat BBQ plate ($88) that had very little to no seasoning on the meat. The staff informed us that is how they serve that dish - I find that hard to believe!

Excellent food, good value and friendly service. We shared 3 entrees and 3 mains between 5 and all walked away quite satisfied. Will definitely return.

Service was excellent, the food was delicious, atmosphere was pure Greek- the band was playing. Was recommended by a local who is from a Greek background. Totally understand the recommendation, the family and myself will be going back there for our little of Greece.

The food and atmosphere was great but when I showed up there was no reservation. They were completely booked out but managed to sort us a table.

It was such a great experience that I have not stopped talking about it. The atmosphere and the staff were fantastic. The food was even better than we expected. Great Local Place that we would defiantly go to again.

If going with a few people I would recommend lots of entrees and share platters over the main meals! The feta and honey parcels are to die for!

Music was extremely loud, couldn't have a conversation. They did have our booking, but never accommodated for it, which made us wait for another half an hour outside in the cold. Finally seated, the food was amazing!!!

the food was absolutely delicious and very generous servings. we ordered a variety of the mezes dishes, 2 salads, a couple of deserts, wine and beer and coffee and it came to $60 pp which is amazing value! the only small negative was the noise level, but the restaurant was totally full on a saturday night, and there was also music in the background, and we felt that it was a great atmosphere. would definitely go back!

The food at Meet the Greek is absolutely fantastic. Our group of six shared some meze plates and everything was delicious! A great atmosphere too. My new favourite restaurant!

first time at this restaurant. Great Atmosphere and despite being full service was very quick and staff attentive and friendly. Definitely will be back as will our friends who we went with. Good really good and serving size very generous. The slow cooked lamb for one we shared between 4 of us and the beetroot said was just Devine.

The decor was great. Unfortunately we could not hear ourselves speak at the restaurant last night because of the noise level - the staff were nice (well what we could hear of them speaking sounded nice) but the food was ordinary. Dips were good but main meals were not worth the price paid. The signature lamb was swimming in a tasteless gravy. Won't be going there again. Disappointing evening.

Beautiful food, the flavours and variety is amazing. Great atmosphere. Staff are lovely and efficient. Very enjoyable experience. We had a party of 7 people our table was very comfortable with plenty of room.
