Meet the Greek

Unfortunately our visit to Meet the Greek was disappointing. Arriving at 7:30pm on a Sunday evening, we walked in and tried to get the waitress' attention. Even after noticing us, she just stood their blankly and it took a manager to come over and show us to our table. Our booking was pushed outside to accomodate a large table inside which wasn't an issue for us - at least until it took 15 minutes for staff to take our order. After taking our order, we still didn't have a drinks menu though and it took us to ask for the drinks menu (and some table water) 3 times before it was finally delivered. By this time our food had already come out to our table and we felt awkward eating without drinks. We were then told that one of the dishes we had ordered wasn't available (not a major issue-sometimes this happens) and that we would need to choose another dish. This waitress left before we could order our drinks though. Only after our last 2 dishes arrived did our drinks finally arrive. Inside the restaurant was extremely busy and all the staff were flustered/ran of their feet, so I don't blame the staff at all because they did try hard even though it was busy inside. The only criticism I would have of the staff is a bit more communication between them would've been handy so we didn't have to wait so long to order/get the drinks menu/know that the dish wasn't available. The food was good but didn't deserve a $100+ bill for 4 small dishes and 2 drinks. During our visit, it seemed that we were being pushed aside to accomodate the large group inside the restaurant.

Good Food, we had the trio dips (beetroot, red peppers and Eggplants), Greek Garlic Bread and Eggplants Tigani as our starters. We love all our starters. (Good for sharing for 5 of us) We ordered Greek Salad too but they forgot to serve us. For main we had Slovakia chicken skewers, Salmon Brizola and the MUST TRY Chicken Tis Skaras, it was so tendered and tasty.. We ordered garlic sauce as the side sauce for the chicken tis skaras but it was not as good as expected, I barely can taste the garlic :( lucky the chicken is good by itself :) The ambience music and service are okay. However this is not the place if you want to have a quiet dinner because the music is pretty loud. Overall it is was good and we may come back :)

Beautiful food ..beautiful people...thanks you...I don t know what else to say want to thanks the people in the kitchen and the waiters...I think to go back as soon as I can byyyyy...

Good food, reasonably priced, good service, it can be a noisy place however. Hadn’t been in afew years and the other ladies with me hadn’t been before and we quite happy to have been introduced to it.

The food was delicious and was good authentic Greek food. The restaurant was really cute with a good atmosphere. The service could have been a little bit better but still a great place.

Great food at a reasonable price, the staff service was pleasant and very helpful. Lots of choices on the menu The wait time for the meals was minimal

Food and service was perfect, all staff were kind and acted promptly. A traditional home cooked meal. We enjoyed the atmosphere and will be going back to enjoy very soon, Thanks

Food was great and the service was also good. The seafood platter was delicious the octopus was the standout..the lamb shoulder was melt in your mouth..Dips were tasty

Overall it was a good night out and worth the 60min drive. The food was good, Service was good. It was a relaxed atmosphere. They didn’t try to shuffle you out once you had finished. Will definitely be back.

Food was amazing, every dish exceeded expectations. We will definitely be going back to try all the other options. Looking forward to it again soon.

Food was great and arrived pretty quickly. There were plenty of staff on hand if we required anything and they were always very helpful. I would recommend this place for a date as well as group functions.

went with friends from work ordered my favourites the kontosouvli pork, saganki, calamari. There was plenty of food really enjoyed it.they want to go again

Generous servings and great service. Enjoyed the ambience, but can be a little warm if you’re seated towards the back of the restaurant. Lamb shoulder was ok, but not as good as previous visit. Tasted a little bland. Nevertheless, will still come back.

The food was great and waiting time was reasonably quick for a busy saturday night and service was very attentive and they accomadated a last minute bday treat without any issues. All in all a great night out for delicious greek food with family & friends.

Lovely place. Great location and great environment loved the decor very friendly stuff but because it was too busy we had to wait a little bit more for the mains surely we will go back.

This restaurant always impresses. Its vibrant, friendly atmosphere is matched by its hearty, luxurious food. I look forward to returning to try the rest of the menu!

Really great atmosphere. Awesome food- you have to come prepared with an empty stomach though, portion sizes are not small! BYO wine as well which is a plus.

Nice location opposite the beach & Greek food. We loved the share plates especially the - lamb shoulder roast with lots of baby roast vegetables & lemon potatoes - wonderful Greek flavours & the chips OMG the best !!!

Beautiful modern restaurant with traditional Greek cuisine. We had the banquet - the best char grilled octopus we have had in years. Friendly happy staff, we had a fabulous night!

Lovely food and plentiful, service good and not intrusive, music a bit too loud for conversation as the restaurant was busy and had enough ambient noise.

The food was great but the manager was a bit rude which makes me think if we want to come back some day. Hope they get a better customer service.

Food was great but if you go in winter ask for a table at the back - we were near the front door and the constant opening and closing meant we were freezing much of the night

Brilliant food, excellent service. Thought we would be too cold having been made to sit outside as we were only 2 people (parties are always inside on Saturday night) but we had a heater and surprisingly we were fine. Cant wait to go back! Can see why you have to book!

The food was delicious and the $49 banquet was well worth it. Meat dishes were so tender. Was extremely busy but service was still good.

efficient service and generous food helpings. Great place to catch up with friends. Recommend the trip of dips, garlic prawns, moussaka and the beetroot salad. Loved it all!

Fantastic food, great service and atmosphere for a really great price. I’d highly recommend the calamari, moussaka and souvlaki. We will definitely be back again!

I always love going to Meet the Greek. We have never had anything less than great food and friendly, professional service. We go a few times each year and continue to be happy customers.

The service was good the people were very nice and the food there was a good selection and it was really good and tasted great I would recommend other people to go there.

The service was efficient and friendly. Food was amazing and served in a timely manner. The suggested wine choice perfectly matched the meal. A very relaxed atmosphere for a catch up with friends.

A great restaurant. Never disappoints. A fab menu and excellent staff who make sure they cater to your needs. Its is also BYO which is an added bonus. We will be back......just love it here

Lovely tasty Greek food - a very nice place to eat a great meal. Excellent service too. Nicely decorated and in a fairly convienient place with a lovely view across the water.

our meal was lovely, the entertainment was great ! The service was aggressive, continually disruptive and abrupt. The staff did not stop interrupting us all night.

Always a great experience at this place. Food is exceptional and service friendly. Servings are also very generous. We will be back before too long.

Food was good . But the first time i went the food was beautiful . Would definitely go back .service was excellent every time I've been .

Great service, took clients to lunch and was very well looked after. Not many places in Le Sands but this was a stand out and I will be back.
