Overall a good experience with very tasty food - the whole menu was amazing! Loved the atmosphere and deck out of the place, very authentic. The Moroccan Mess dessert was beautifully presented and a very generous serve, and the baklava just perfect, not too sweet. Only gripe was the service from one of the waitresses - not that friendly and a little pushy. The other though was sweet, patient and happy to answer any questions we had about the menu.

The restaurant was not that busy by the time we went in for 8pm dinner, but it didn’t bother us - the service was fantastic, accommodating all dietary requirements, and the food was all delicious and good value for money. I would recommend to friends!

First time here. Waited awhile to be seated, and service was slow at the start as there was only one person working upstairs at the start, which was disappointing. Once drinks and food ordered, everything came out soon afterwards. Once more staff arrived, service improved. Food was nice with the Turkish influence. Highly recommend the tasty mezze plates and slow cooked lamb. Warning that their Turkish Pizzas are huge! Good servings, although the French fries were disappointing.

Booked a table for four & sat out on the balcony. Tried about 7 mezzo dishes - all fantastic & full of flavour. Loved the roast potatoes, lamb kebab & halloumi particularly. Friendly service & used entertainment book for 25% off. Will return.

Food an atmosphere were great. Service started really well, but seemed to disappear part way through the meal. Would have been great to have more attentive wait staff.

Took 40 minutes just to get a dip and chips. And paid $20 for two meat sticks that were 5cm long.

We went early on a Friday night, as we expected it to get busy. However, the night we went was not a busy one. This meant that the restaurant was not full and so waiting times small and noise levels negligible. The food and atmosphere of the venue is terrific. They have been in new venue for 2 years now and the warehouse feel, high ceilings and decor is great. There is a fabulous upstairs area for casual dining with a view over the water and pier. Watching the sun set and the Spirit of Tasmania leave was lovely. Definitely want to return to try the Turkish pizzas and sit upstairs

Foid was good, overpriced but good. Puctures of the food on line are soooo much nicer than the actual presentation if food. Was quite disappointed with wash rooms.nit clean at all. All in all, not a great experience.

Had the Mezze for 2 with a couple of extra Mezze dishes and that was enough for the 2 of us. Food was delicious and we will definitely be returning. We sat upstairs with awesome views over the bay. We didn't sit out on the balcony but it is a lovely spot on a warm evening. Also enjoyed the Crocus Spritz cocktail - very refreshing.

Loved the décor and ambience. Booked online requesting a table near a window and was happy to have been seated upstairs with a view of the Spirit of Tasmania all lit up. And getting the sea-breeze on such a hot night was great! All dishes we ordered were delicious and a good size serve. Service was a little poor though - we had to wait quite some time to be seated and a long time for our food to come out, even though the restaurant didn't appear to be busy, and over 20 mins to get our coffee at the end of the night.

Food was good. unfortunately we did not think to ask and we were not told by the wait staff that everything we ordered would arrive at the same time. Lacked some atmosphere. It was OK .. not great.. Another thing.. Food with three items should not be served to 2 people. explain this at the time of ordering. Probably would not return. Nothing to set it apart but, OK.

Absolutely delicious food! Recommend the borek and eggplant pizza. Staff are attentive and friendly. Also great views of the bay and station pier. Please try this place

I used to love Mr Lawrence, but it seemed to have gone downhill when I last went. The menu was cut down and they don't open for lunch most days. A pity, but there are quite a few fish in the sea.

Tempting and tasty cocktails perfect for a warm Christmas Eve looking out over Port Melbourne beach. Absolutely beautiful share plates. Highlights for us were the haloumi and the potato sides! Thank you to accommodating staff. A new Christmas Eve tradition?

Nice atmosphere, great tasting food (particularly mezze). Unfortunately let down by slow service (missed drinks, very slow to take orders). Suited our purpose but likely won’t return.

Mr Lawrence is always great. Their Moroccan twist add lots of flavour to their menu. My favourite is to share plates and the lamb meat balls are a must. Their pizzas are also the best. They make their own light and airy based and top it with fresh ingredients.
