Mr Lawrence

I was a little miffed when I learned that Mr Lawrence was moving away from the London Hotel location but the new venue did not disappoint! The ambiance and food continue to be terrific.

Nice food in a relaxed environment. Upstairs is much better but seek a table instead of the bench tops with tall chairs like bar sools

Great service, and even better food! The flavours were authentic with a modern twist, including the desserts - Sensational! Will definitely be coming back regularly.

Friendly service, delicious pizza. Worth bringing the family or meeting up with friends on a Monday night for $10 pizza. Good value and great taste.

Great new fit out down the road and yummy food as always! Additions to the menu look good, even though we stuck with our usual falafels with fattouche and flat bread!

Service was quite slow considering it was a very quiet night with only 2 other tables in. My friend had a dairy intolerance, the waitress was good at sorting alternatives. We order 3 dishes, the sharing mezze, a grain salad and meatballs. The mezze was well over priced for the offering, $28 for a very small, dry and fairly tasteless plate of food. They also forgot the bread and dip which should of been part of the mezze and by the time this arrived we had finished everything else. Had the waitress of come and checked on us we would have told her but trying to get her attention was very difficult. The salad and meatballs were ok. Ceratinly not worth the expense. $100 for 3 small plates and 3 drinks. The only thing going for this place is the view. Sadly I will not return, shame considering I live very close by and was very much looking forward to it being a regular spot.

Great quality food, friendly staff and quick service. Enjoyed my experience and will definitely be going back. As joint owners of Tenpin, will want to be trying this also.

Great food love the turkish pizzas and miss the watermelon salad but the cucumber salad was delish as well. Service is always good highly recommend

The food was delicious, the table very comfortable and the service was excellent, they gave us time to enjoy our conversation without interrupting and brought everything spot on. If anything it was a pity that some of the entrees only brought 3 items instead of 4, but we loved it overall.

Food is amazing and always on time. The staff are friendly as well. Lamb pizza is to die for and their sides are always a compliment to the food

Delicious food! Did not have any bad dishes. We ordered the meatballs, Turkish pizza. Lamb kofte, Tagine, and a couple of other things. Everything was amazing. Great view and setting as well. The cheesecake dessert was fantastic!

Great food and great service, we come here at least 3 times a month. They have recently also changed the menu , some new things to try but all great.

The food is always fabulous and the staff are great. Very friendly. I do like the new location too. It's been set up really well.

The new location is great - more spacious and the views of the bay are better too. We ordered three dishes and the waiter/kitchen (we were not asked) assumed it was all to share; it wasn't all to share - just the salad. The food was enjoyable - especially the feta and water melon salad. Overall, it was a good experience and we will continue to dine there.

The food was excellent and the staff very knowledgeable. Great wine selection and wonderful cocktails available. Fantastic view of the bay from the upstairs balcony. We will definitely be back.

I am a regular at Mr Lawrence and always enjoy dining there. This was my first time at the new venue and it was light, fresh and comfortable. The service is friendly and not obtrusive. The menu was delicious as always. My girlfriends and I thoroughly enjoyed our night.

The new location for Mr Lawrence is great, with an amazingly large dining room with beautiful views over the bay. The food too is just as good as it's ever been however the service needs some attention. Staff were not observant when we needed attention, busy talking amongst themselves and not providing the right advice when we ordered. This lead us to order side dishes we didn't need when the mains we ordered already included very similar ingredients and lead us not to even touch these items. Better training for the staff on their menu knowledge, sales skills and on how to assist guests to order would improve the overall experience considerably.

The food was fantastic and the service very efficient and friendly. Great view out over Port Phillip Bay. We will definitely be heading back here soon.

Saturday night and we had fabulous service in a great environment - the food is excellent and would recommend sharing to enjoy the total experience .

Always love going to Mr Lawrence, their food is relaxed and friendly. My only feedback was the staff seemed less friendly than normal. Am sure this was just a blip as not experienced before and will be back.

As always the food was delicious and the staff very pleasant. I took a guest for her first time visit and she left after the meal stating the food and the facilities were delightful. I'm have no doubt she will be back - and I will continue to bring guests.

Excellent as always , perfect for a summer nights out near the beach

The staff are all different now that it's moved. The food isn't great and a lot of the stuff in the menu they don't have, the trout and certain beers. I was disappointed as there's only a few things I can eat and there was no offer of helping me, so I was stuck with a salad. Also the pizzas weren't cooked enough and the staff weren't very friendly. I was a mr Lawrence fan at the London but unfortunately I don't think I will be anymore.

Nice bright new premises - we sat upstairs and the open balcony with bay views was great! Food is always excellent at Mr Lawrence, no matter where they are sited!

Great menu with good selection and very friendly staff. My favourite menu items, Falafel, Hummus, Turkish Pizza: Pastrami, chicken and Mushroom. The atmosphere is good but I like more their old location at the London Hotel.

The food was very good - as expected from the previous location - and the service was friendly and efficient. We enjoyed ourselves and will return.

We have received much better customer service ..the staff was quite lost and not very helpful in helping us with better seating Nd exploring options with drinks and zero smiles ..

Food was good as usual however new venue lacks the atmosphere of the London, ie not as intimate. But service was good and we hope that with time it will be as good as before!! We will be back!

Beautiful food and atmosphere at Mr Lawrence. The service was also top notch. There is nothing better than looking out over the Tasmanian Ferry at Station Pier.

We all thought the food was excellent and very tasty and the service was very good. The margaritas and martinis were perfect and well consumed

Always great food, creative, innovative, tasty and enjoyable. Restaurant has never disappointed. Service levels can be variable but never worse than average. Would recommend to anyone seeking a middle eastern food experience.

The food was delicious and the pimp was nice. We ordered varieties of small and larger plates for sharing and they all tasted so good.

Always consistent - always inspiring and always great. Have been going here for some time, and always love it. Sad its moving, but only down the road;) Highly recommended!

Food was good. Service was slow and we felt a little like we were left constantly waiting to order. Not sure if it was because we were sat in the back room, but wasn't up to the usual standard we are use to at Mr Lawrence.

Mr Lawrence's food is fantastic, but tonight, being a Monday was supposed to be $10 pizzas. Three were charged at $10 and one at $19 something - which was a disappointing end to an otherwise great evening.

It is a casual restaurant but the venue, the location and the food was great. We ordered 4 dishes to share and everything we ordered was tasty.
