Actually all was good till the end when they took ages to get back to us re desert and then took forever to come out, just think they couldn't cope with the full house as most of us were going to the theatre next door

Really enjoyed our night - food was delicious, delivered promptly, service was very good but unobtrusive. Only thing that stopped me giving 6 smiley faces was the fact that our table was RIGHT NEXT to the door, which on a cold winter's night wasn't fabulous, and our two person table was so close to the next table it was impossible NOT to hear their conversations - a little more distance between the tables perhaps, or maybe seat people at tables at right angles to the other tables? Minor quibbles though, on an otherwise excellent meal.

We were probably the noisy ones! 5 of us, so all the compliments are x 5. 3 of us had been before, the other 2 were impressed. Very patient and helpful service, answered all our questions about the food, the spices, etc.

Brilliant food, delicious, served quite quickly and hot, perfect for a pre-theatre meal. Friendly wait staff but not as attentive as they could be, we were not the only ones that had to go ask for the desert & coffee menu, after clearing the dinner plates always best to ask if anyone would like desert or coffee.

Had a lovely meal at Gurkha's Restaurant and booking online through Quandoo was very easy. The service was very attentive and the food was fabulous.

Food was very tasty... I had Fish Curry (Medium hot) and it was more than spicy enough for this wimp. Staff were pleasant and polite.

Courteous staff; nice atmosphere although quite noisy; varied and reasonably priced menu; the meals were delivered promptly and hot; the only negative was that our waitress wasn't very helpful about the wine list. P.S. Difficult to find a car park close to the restaurant on a Saturday evening so be prepared for a walk.

Unbelievably good food for a small city restaurant, almost out of sight. The curries are the best I've ever eaten. The service is second to none. Even the Nepalese tea I had was delicious. And the prices? I've spent more on lunch at a deli! I shall go back again and again.

Ordered from the lunch menu which was a little less expensive from th regular menu. Service was friendly and casual. Enjoyed the flavours of the barramundi curry - would order this again in future

This was my second visit to Gurkha's. This time I had two business contacts (the venue was my choice so I didn't want things to go wrong) and they clearly enjoyed it. The table presentation was excellent, the air-con was efficient (it was a hot day) and the service was slick and courteous. I was greeted pleasantly on arrival. Perhaps - a small thing - it took a bit long to ask me for a drink order, but that is nit-picking. The lunch menu is fine and the food was well presented and interesting. We chose well and the food was excellent. Rice with each dish is a good idea. The restaurant was quiet, which is what we wanted.. The bill was surprisingly reasonable - value for money. Overall, the lunch was great and I will return. Well done.

The food was delicious and very good service. We have eaten here on a few occasions and will be back. Ghurkas is good value for money.

Lovely restaurant, delightful Nepalese host and delicious food. The prices and service were also excellent. Would thoroughly recommend and great for a group or couples.
