Absolutely beautiful food, we enjoyed all our meals definitely going back. Crab crochets, salt n pepper calamari was to die for, oysters Kirkpatrick yummy, 1kg morton bay bugs with garlic sauce Absolutely sensational and well worth the money....♥️♥️♥️

Our wedding anniversary. We have been celebrating at Richmond Oysters for many years. Our waitress was awesome, the food fantastic. Scallops were my favourite.

Ordered dozen Oysters that were not fresh and had a bitter after taste. Unfortunately I ate a couple before sending the rest back. Was told they arrived yesterday. The few I ate made me unwell. Would not go back and cannot recommend.

I like the food but because we were sitting underneath the air con, the food got cold straight away. I don’t think the oysters mornay and the lobster should have been more creamier with more sauce. Everything else was nice.

Our first ever visit after a friend’s recommendation. Pretty impressive range of fresh seafood for take away sales, along with a busy restaurant offering. We chose the panko coated prawns (8 in the serve and so fresh, but needed more dipping sauce 😊) and crab croquettes (two very large croquettes with nicely textured creamy filling, a little light on crab bits and flavour) to share, then the scallop and heirloom carrots dish ( most unusual combo but pleasing) and the seafood hotpot (pretty nice and excellent creamy sauce, if a little light on pieces), also to share, plus one serve of chips that could have fed more than two. Sparkling wine choices by the glass were a bit pedestrian, but the Clare Riesling and Tarrawarra Chardonnay btg were a good fit for the food. Excellent and friendly table service. Would go back in a group of four or six, where the broader and decent range of bottled wines had more choice to offer. You can apparently choose your fillet of fish from the retail side, to be earmarked, cooked and brought to your table, which is a nice feature. It’s a noisy space with hard surfaces, but a pleasant environment nevertheless 😊

Always a great dining experience at Richmond Oysters, however, really disappointed they have taken the crumbed oysters off the new menu. They were singularly our favorite item..!

We went for lunch, the menue was excellent but the lunch menue was lovely and excellent value. Excellent customer service made this a wonderful occasion.

Unfortunately, this is the first time the food had not excelled. There was an attempt from staff to rectify this once raised, which was nice.

Overall the service was OK, food was OK, but certainly did not justify the high prices charged. Oysters and scollops were very good, fish was OK, but the prawns and particularly the bugs were not crisp and fresh, disappointing really. The atmosphere was noisy and it all felt more like a fish and chippery or even a fishmonger (with smell) than a restaurant with high prices. Our search for a good seafood restaurant continues.

This place was excellent. The staff were fantastic/ helpful, professional and personal. The food was absolutely beautiful- we will be back

We have been coming here for the last 10 yrs and its our 30th Wedding Anniversary on Tues so we went there for lunch yesterday! We always have a great experience and enjoy the food! We will be back as always!
